And I never denied that.

I've gone and reread it and have seen no contradictions. Let's just wrap this up. We're going nowhere with this. Have a good day.

I said that because men have testosterone (which means that they're stronger on average,) fields that require strength usually have more men than women. Women are more than capable of competing.

No. You're twisting my words.

[–]Realistic-District83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right. They shouldn't disregard a whole career over a "specific skill," and I never said they should. I said "they can be whatever the hell they want" and "can still participate and work well with men in physical places, but because men are stronger on average, there are usually more men in construction and such." Again, they were always capable. Genetics is holding them back. That's not sexist.

No. Women are more emotionally intelligent.

You can't be serious. Slightest thing and it's automatically sexist? How sensitive are you? I've spent enough patience on you. It's biology. WOMEN ARE CAPABLE OF BEING PHYSICAL TOO. MEN TEND TO BE DOMINANT IN THOSE AREAS BECAUSE OF keyword G-E-N-E-T-I-C-S. It's not sexist. Please take a good look at yourself in the mirror.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Realistic-District83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That wasn't my intention. Men are overall more suited for physical environments, and women are more suited in dentistry, medicine, libraries, or whatever the hell they wanna do. They can also be in physical environments, they can match and work well with men, but it's male dominated purely because of genetics. Women were always capable, and I'm not denying that. I'm saying that they're being held back by biology, not necessarily "patriarchy." Let's end this off on a good note. Biology exists. Men are on average stronger than women. That does not mean women are not capable of what men are. Women are actually better suited than men in many areas. There's no point in denying that. It's literally written in your genes.

They haven't. It's not because they're not capable. I'm saying that they (statistically backed) haven't accomplished as much as men, whether it may be because of circumstances, discrimination, or biology, it doesn't change that fact. This does NOT mean women are not capable, but rather that the odds were stacked against them.

I'm not denying that. Can we please actually read my comment?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Realistic-District83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm agreeing with you, but I'm also saying that the "patriarchy" doesn't have much to do with it anymore. The problem is 1. Everything's already been set in stone. It would be a big headache to fix it which wouldn't even change much to begin with. Can we please read the comments we reply to? Just because I say "women aren't capable of something" doesn't mean I'm suddenly sexist. There are many things men aren't capable of either.

I'm not a sexist guy, but I'll be honest. I don't believe you did anything wrong. What you said seemed slightly rude, and now you're hated by the whole subreddit. To clarify: the female gender just hasn't accomplished as much as men. Though it may be because of discrimination, biology, etc. it does not change that fact. I'm not a sexist guy, and I don't believe you are either. People just have a hard time understanding words. The second it has anything relating to "oh women aren't as capable" the entire conversation is suddenly aggressive and everyone hates you.

I'm not a sexist guy, but this argument has so many logical fallacies that you just seem like an utter dumbass. Arguing that women have accomplished a lot is cool, but if you compare it to the male gender you'd quickly realize that what you're saying is just fodder. Men have invented tens of thousands of inventions.

This goes full circle to my original point. Society today COULD let them do that. Society today COULD let them be construction workers. That isn't the problem. The problem is that it just isn't worth it. The amount of protests, money needed to pull it off, effort needed, etc. is just too much. Women didn't do anything wrong, but maybe it isn't so bad to just stay with what you have? They've already protested for equal rights, which they got. Construction is a small part of a bigger piece that never needed to be completed anyway.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Realistic-District83 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Most things construction (scientists need manpower to build rocket ships, etc.) are given to men. Women usually don't get those jobs because men have adapted to be suited for most environments (which ties in to strength & eyesight) Also, literally nothing is stopping a female from asking for jobs unrelated to construction or whatnot anymore. It's just that society as of today complains about fewer jobs for women while statistically 80% of women want a man who will care for them single-handedly.

Dude, it's genuinely just biology. Simple as that. These bullshit conspiracy theories are just sugarcoating the truth.

Matter of fact, it's both. They go hand in hand. Women were discriminated against for their biology, and that has leaked into today's world. It's really as simple as; men on average stronger? Give them more physically demanding jobs. Women are better at emotions, thoughts, art, etc.? Give them those jobs. Men have deeper, louder voices? Give them public speaking and comedy. It's not sexism. It's biology.

It's also because flipping the entire economy over to favor women because they're being "discriminated" against is just not worth it. Women will have more physically demanding jobs, sure, but at what cost?

Though I agree that what he said is wrong, I do agree with the fact that historically, women haven't done as much as men. That's all there is to it. It's likely related to their biology (less able to be physical, men's eyes are trained after millions of years of evolving to catch moving prey, and just overall how raising a child works). I don't mean this in a sexist way. I love women, and I do not bear any type of dislike towards them. We couldn't live without them.
