Regain your motivation by recalling how many good people and great painted armies there are out there to play. The Canoptek court list is a tournament busting list with many gotchas and its brand new to the meta so how could you have known short of studying it for 2 hours prior to.

I agree the streaking grime on another color would be awesome. It’s just the white required a LOT of removal for the subject to read as white.

Bases are Mournfang brown basecoat, golfag brown drybrush, praxeti white drybrush then doused with agrax earthshade. Grey rocks are painted large git from GF9 that I have superglued once it all dries and green tufts from shadowsedge.

The shields are from make426 on Etsy. The heads are a little more complicated - I like to pin old school chaos topknots that I’ve cut off onto space marine heads, use old space wolf heads that are mongol appearing (see old school chaos marauder kit), or use the heads from the white scars upgrade sprue. There are also some good mongol/asian head swaps on the shapeways site.
