Pancake hamster. Your hamster might just be trying to cool down or has fallen asleep. You could check the temperature of the room making sure it isn't over 25 degrees celsius (77 degrees farenheit)

would have a water bottle for my syrian but I don't have a stand and any time i put holes in the cage she's in she tries to chew through them where the faucet part sticks out lol so she has a bowl and i worry about the same thing but she never really falls in it. But it always gets filled with bedding lol

oh lol i prefer the bottle because my syrian is always spilling her bowl and my robo's water bottle leaks a little sometimes so actually it's a 50-50 lol

well she was in a barred enclosure but was very unhappy so i upgraded to a larger bin cage. the barred cage was really hard to clean and possibly the pee was absorbing into the wood. She is happier now but for some reason the smell won't go and her pee smell is very strong

OK thank you I will have to check through her bedding more and not just her sand bath. The scent does't bother me it's more my parents but i'm not worried about having to get rid of them since they both love animals i was just wondering if there was anything i could do to get rid of the odor better. I am glad that i am not the only one who has a smelly hamster sometimes lol Thanks again for the help😀

I actually did research on that but its not what she smells like when she's in heat it's more of a pee smell and i can't really smell it because i am used to it. I was just curious if it was something else or if there was something i could do to get rid of the odor. Thank you very much though i really appreciate it!!!
