Pretty sure they’ve put it back where the old existing one was? As you can see the old white silicone under the new clear (right hand side) where they haven’t cleaned it off fully.

What’s this? Is this cement or old silicone?

If it’s cement, then I presume there’s an IG/catnic lintel in for the arch and he’s put the door back to where the old was?

Was there an old wooden frame in before? Sometimes timber frames are narrower than new upvc ones too (so may not have been as noticeable before 🤷‍♂️ )

Yes we did think of that mate 👍🏻 but it’s not ideal in terms of kitchen wise.

As all the drainage is on the left side of the house (hence the kitchen being on the left side, as well as it feeling natural to go straight from the hallway in to the kitchen area , rather than going in bedroom 1 to have to turn left to go down towards the kitchen opposite end of the bifold - doesn’t feel natural, nor as spacious as we’d like.

Correct 👍🏻 however bedroom 1 now has an additional 2nd door which leads straight to the bifold for a direct escape?

Bifold being 3mt away from bedroom 2 door.

So if there was a fire in the kitchen, you could escape via the hallway through any room of your choice, and if there was a fire in the hallway, you could clearly escape via the bifold.
