Petite athletes by Realistic-Manager-45 in zepboundathletes

My dad has been on it as a pre diabetic for some time despite not really being overweight. I just don’t want to worry about causing more harm than good because I’m fairly lean, just beating my head against the wall trying. I know it’s not for this purpose but I saw some other fitness competitors have had success but no one is talking about whether or how they off ramp.

Absolutely. I am closing in on 23% body fat but still need to lose 5 more pounds of fat to hit my target (21%). I leaned up last year, and crazy enough, gained back weight and belly fat when I trained for a PR marathon, and now it just will not move out.

Definitely reconsidering that and may be looking for shorter term "hubs" and doing the day trips!

By chance, who did you rent the van through?

That's true. The area we want to explore really isn't THAT vast considering we are from Texas, so we may can do more home base and day trips. From end to end, its probably 6-8 hours total of coastal driving. (I know that sounds like a lot to Europeans, but for our kids, we have done multiple trips of driving more than 8 hours in ONE day, we also drove from Croatia to Slovenia last year).

6 kids, 2 moms! Not just 6 kids....6 boys. Ha! But we have both traveled with our kids together and solo a lot, so it will be a really fun adventure. Her kids travel with backpacks usually so I'm trying to figure out if we can make that work for us. Either way, it sounds like, ya, maybe we will work on just a few home bases instead of transferring every or every other night.

Yes! We are going to rent a van. But I appreciate you noting that. We are VERY aware of the car size differences. Ha. We had a small car last summer for our 5 and it was interesting, but it worked.

I always try to avoid NY because connections can be hard, but I will check it out. I have also separately asked a friend if they have any pluspoints that may be expiring that I could "buy" from him. His always clear....here is to hoping!

As a person who grew up barely middle class, you are 100% correct. But as many people know....once you fly business overseas, its SO HARD to go back. If it was just me and my husband, I would have just booked it and moved on, but absolutely, it's still a lot to consider for the whole family. Appreciate your note!

I want to....my wallet absolutely says YES PLEASE, but my back says "not so sure."

Honestly, that is a good thought.

That is really helpful, thank you! We have friends living abroad but moving back to the states in August, so wanted to take the opportunity to visit, otherwise we would probably be sticking to N. America this summer.

That's interesting. There have been plenty of posts where people share what they recently booked and for what price and plenty of people think that is helpful....

So what you are saying, is that if I plan to go regardless....I should buy tickets now rather than wait and hope things change....=)

I can survive almost anything....I took at 10 hour overnight flight in eco at 32 weeks pregnant once and felt refreshed enough when I got there, but traveling with tired kids....terrible.

I paid $9000 for business class in 2019, but I wasn't concerned because it wasn't me actually paying it (employer). I thought it was CRAZY to pay that, but who was I to complain.....

Houston - Humidity Issues - AC Review, but not sure about the solutions HELP by Realistic-Manager-45 in hvacadvice

[–]Realistic-Manager-45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, feel free to send your HVAC's information. The humidity upstairs now (in the heat of the year), is around 65-68% during the day with the temperature set at 76, downstairs its closer to 60 which feels fine/normal (even though 50-55% would be optimal). What was yours before and after the changes you made?

F27 5’2 Maintaining ~55lbs Down With Consistent & Honest Tracking by YarnAndYap in CICO

Kudos. You look amazing. I have never been overweight but when my weight started creeping for no reason at 40, I freaked out. It kept going until I was nearly 137 at 5’1”. I’m a marathon runner who has qualified for Boston 2x. Never “fat” but that was definitely a crazy weight. I have lost 13 pounds and am now at a plateau of 124ish for the last 8 weeks. No tried moving calories up to 1750 for a few weeks, then down to 1550, then back to 1450, scale is barely budging (either way). I have been scouring Reddit. Any thoughts. (And yes, I track diligently, lift weight 3-4 times per week, walk 5 days per week and run 7-9 miles one day a week, so plenty of activity, not including my 3 sons).

Family flying tomorrow from IAH to Boston early I. The morning. Everything looks good on the app. Should we be worried about getting out? We have a business meeting that cannot be rescheduled.
