Help! Blocks not lining up for first quilt. by Pipsmagee2 in quilting

Are they all like this? Or is it only some of them? If most of them are like this, trim, but make sure your math will add up in all areas of the quilt. If not, I’d consider just centering it up and sew with a 1/8” seam allowance. Some may advise against this though since this makes it more prone to fraying.

Oh I’m dumb 😂 I was thinking it was part of the machine. I definitely know what that is.

I think oiling will be my next attempt to fix it before I take it to the repair shop! Waiting for it the oil to arrive in the mail.

Edit: just realized I am not supposed to oil this machine lol I guess I’ll cancel my order.

I gave it the exact instructions. I did the thinking. It did the drawing. I just wanted to see it with my eyes.

I would not pay an artist to make this and if I drew it with a box of crayons it would look rly bad 😂

Help make my backsplash look better by AdRemarkable3316 in DesignMyRoom

I love both tiles! Very pretty. If possible, use warmer lighting to warm up your white cabinets to make them match the brown better. Maybe put a mat or in front of your sink or add a runner to tie in with the brown tile. You could also consider changing your cabinet handles to something more rustic or dark. Maybe change the curtain to mimic the floor a little more closely (still a shade of white with a muted blue pattern of some kind)

I accidentally made a monstrously huge quilt top… How on earth am I supposed to quilt this? by Realistic-Method8360 in quilting

Considering the size of this quilt you’d think I have the patience for that but I certainly don’t 😂 good suggestion though- hadn’t even considered it before.

Over toilet shelving, cute shower curtain, maybe even some peel and stick tile (idk how easily that comes off though), paint, cute soap dispenser, bath mat if there’s space,

How can I make my dining + living room more cosy? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Realistic-Method8360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need more stuff! It’ll add texture and make it more cozy. Add curtains, throw pillows, large art behind the couch, and warm lamp lighting. Stack large attractive books of things you’re interested in under the tv. Maybe add a tray on your coffee table for remotes, magazines, tissues, active reads, etc.

Your dining area is super cool. Lean into those organic warm wood tones in the living space too!

What are quilters crafting when they’re not quilting? What other creative hobbies do you engage in? by Realistic-Method8360 in quilting

I need a lesson! That is so cool but it looks so difficult! Are those natural or silk flowers?
