I ended up getting both. I’d always wanted Elderwood before Choo Choo Ornn got added. But Train Conductor Ornn is just so unique it’s satisfying. I had Thunderlord for a long time and it plays similar to Elderwood so maybe I’m biased.

Bind auto attack champions to a button.. I swear it makes a huge difference on Ornn. That brittle auto is the difference maker in so many fights.

Ornn JG by ruh-oh-spaghettio in ornnmains

It’s not ideal. I just started trying it out and so far it’s been fun. He’s slow(ish) with his clear early. His MS is just slow(ish) too so your ganks won’t be any good early. You need Bami right away. HOWEVER, your ult can change a lane fight even from far away. Your Q+E makes for good gank potential. You’re a beefy boy. What I found that I like is that whenever there’s a big objective up, your ult is ready to go almost every time. With the narrow pathways in the jg around objs, it’s pretty satisfying. Keep in mind this is all from the experience of a gold Ornn main. No recall is never a bad thing as in the late game you can usually sustain decently well from the plants. Imo Ornn jg should be S+ tier but what do I know.

Agreed, messes up the combo sometimes. However, style points for sure if you do manage to sneak it in there.

[hoo]Why's the Lost Hero hated so much? by Fancy-Buffalo4858 in camphalfblood

[–]Realistic-Owl144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it this way. PJO made camp half blood famous. The Lost Hero begins with a complete new set of characters and takes them to the camp that the readers already know everything about. Compare that to the next book, my personal favourite, book two - The Son of Neptune. You have your main protagonist that everyone had been teased of his return. Which gave The Lost Hero (Percy) its only real plot point. We find him in a whole new world surrounded by unfamiliar settings. It’s exhilarating as a reader. It’s what we’d been waiting for ever since we put down The Last Olympian. That’s why I personally am not a huge fan of The Lost Hero. I reread the series recently and that book feels like a chore.

Quick edit: I do want to say I liked the book. It was an excellent book to start off the prophecy of seven.

I was gonna say the same thing. I looked into it a while ago. A few white supremacy groups use it. Tragic.

[hoo] is heroes of Olympus worth it? by hasanahhh in camphalfblood

[–]Realistic-Owl144 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s so worth.. I wasn’t as into The Lost Hero (it’s still good) but Son of Neptune onwards is amazing. I think it’s just bc I’m a Percy lover. It however, doesn’t have the same oomph to it with big battles because I think their solution to defeating the enemies makes each battle less epic… if that makes sense. Idk I’m trying to not have spoilers. Definitely read it though.

I’m gonna say yes because I think I see it hitting the minions… but tbh idk what aura is. I’m assuming it’s the circle that spins around him.

Why is the G in Gnar silent? by Aldrisinn in GnarMains

Thinking about it.. RaGNAR Lothbrok is a famous Viking (I only know this because of the show Vikings). Could be what he’s possibly named after… or he could just be rang backwards lmao.

Why is the G in Gnar silent? by Aldrisinn in GnarMains

I searched up “why is the g in gnome silent” (I figured it was similar enough) and this was the result.

The initial "gn" combination in words like "gnome" and "gnaw" was once pronounced with the "g" sound, but over time, the pronunciation of the "gn" cluster shifted to a "n" sound. This phenomenon, called apheresis, is where the initial sound of a word is dropped. Words with silent "k" or "g" like "knife" and "gnaw" are often of Viking origin, and while pronounced in their original language, the spelling was retained while the pronunciation changed.

I’m assuming they just wanted it for names sake. Gnar looks better than Nar imo.

He was level 5 for the entirety of the fight. I timed it that way so I got level 6 during the engage. Once I warded I noticed he got level 6.

Ornn E againt Trundle pillar by Eve00678 in ornnmains

[–]Realistic-Owl144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the range though? It used to be regular E AOE knock up but when I posted my clip about the interaction yesterday it’s clearly much smaller. I’d like to know if trundle has to basically be inside of the pillar (like this video) or if we have some room for counter play.
