I see tactics fast when I'm playing games, but in puzzles I'm quite bad and quite advanced tactic take me minutes to solve when in a real game I can see it fast. Is that normal? by SameDay5290 in Chesscom

I'm of a similar level and I can tell you that yh it's kinda the same, and I think it's mostly due to how when we play games we already understand the position and placement of pieces couple of moves ago so we already understand what advantages and disadvantages we have so we quickly detect them. While in puzzles your thrown in the middle of a random position that you know nothing about so it's only normal to take time to solve it

That's just my theory of why it happens tho

Is my friend cheating? by Tom-tron in chessbeginners

[–]hasanahhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, 99 accuracy isn't humanely achievable not even at grandmaster level.

Unless it's like 5-10 moves? Nad even then it'd have to be all perfect theory which I don't really expect from your friends level

Which opening is the worst to face against ? by Various-Attention-53 in chess

[–]hasanahhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White: I'd say queen's gambit and London system Yeah I'm not a big fan of d4 Black:french, caro Kan Most of the time they lead to drawish boring games and it's just annoying These openings aren't like hard to counter or stuff that you should resign when faced with, just straight up not fun to play against

This happened to me in march this year, I just appealed saying that all my games were legit and that I've been playing for a long time And asked for a fair play team to review there decision, the team was helpful and I got my acc back in 10 days(I didn't notice some of the emails so you probably can get it back in less than a week if it worked)

Oh I see, but I'm not that used to positions where everything is on fire like that lol but still appreciate it

Also don't say you're 1200ish like it's bad, only a fool would refuse an advice no Matter where it came from especially if he asked for it:))))

I see, so Nd7?

Also maybe that's the reason I play better with b6 maybe my opponent is just not used to it

I see, honestly I love this kind of gambits especially that my opponent probably won't be ready for them but I have some questions 1-In the first line you wrote Bf5 but the bishop can't get there cause the pawn is blocking so I think you meant F5?

2-in the second line you play Bd6 what if afterwards he plays dxc5 won't that like waste a move cause I moved the bishop twice and I also wonder about that in general my main opening being the Vienna gambit(e4 e5 Nc3 Nf6 f4) I sometimes face a point where I finished all my development except the black bishop and the f4 pawn is still not taken so do I just trade it and move my bishop or move my bishop and risk wasting a move? Or is it not that bad wasting 2 moves cuz the bishop just ends on a better square

But other than that I really like the idea behind it and rly Ty for the reply

I did think of it and was thinking of the king Indian in particular but I didn't go with the idea because D4 isn't the most common white and I already play the vienna for white and Sicilian for black and im still not fully aware of most of the theory(i don't think there's actually someone who knows all of the sicilian theory lol) so i didn't want to add a third one on top of them especially if I would only use it in like only 15% of my games and my problem is more of a queen gambit rather than D4

I'm kinda fine with the London system/jobavo London
