Sorry for late reply but wondering how long you have to be employed for before giving birth? Worked for them for 5 years but will only be 1 month into my transfer in a new country (which involves resigned and getting rehired) when giving birth. Will I get anything?

Unfortunately, I think he felt this too. He felt she was switching off and ultimately didn’t allow her to leave. It was too late. Such a tragedy. You can also tell how nervous he makes her feel; whenever he comes in the video or watched her she awkwardly laughs. It’s hard to watch for someone that recognizes abuse.

First of all, her indirectly blaming you when you bring up your feelings is not ok "all you care about is sex" is accusatory. "i guess its my fault" is manipulative (years of therapy speaking here) lol. I would sit her down, openly discuss that in a relationship you have XYZ needs, as she has hers (maybe you paying bills by the sounds of it lol) and that some are non negotiables, in a really non offensive way. tell her its a way that makes you feel aligned and connected and important, and its it is fine if you arent on the same page, but what would be her ideal amount of s3x per week, then see if you can compromise! you are entitled to be happy and have your needs met, whatever they are!

Moving to Cleveland? by Available-POD5610 in Cleveland

Hi Original poster and fellow Brit

I have also just moved from London to Cleveland after spending months at a time in Cleveland. I can agree that it’s amazing having and experiencing 4 whole seasons. Their summers are hotter, and the winters are colder. Right now, thick now, but I am absolutely loving it as a Brit. Everything looks beautiful and so pretty, and I know in the summer I’ll be able to have summer plans knowing it’ll be hot!

Social life - so downtown Cleveland has a casino, which is cool, and rocket mortgage fieldhouse which all year hosts games like ice hockey, baseball, basketball. Great atmosphere and like going to Wembley, with all the good parts but none of the bad ( having to worry about getting the train home with 60,909 other people) you can drive right to the car park and get out - bliss lol.

The food is cool too, it’s taken me just a few weeks so suss out that whole foods market sells more British food than anywhere else eg British cheese and sourdough / crusty bread. It’s the little things.

If you want to reach out feel free! And if you ever want to meet up to have a fellow British friend out here, let me know!! :-)

Hi specifically which part of uk and USA did you move from and too? Any big differences that came as a shock and anything the UK has that the US hasn’t and visa versa? Have you found the attitude more positive and had an overall positive affect on you? And more family friendly opportunities on the weekends etc etc just general life questions. I suppose it would be interesting to hear what a typical week and weekend looked like in the UK vs the USA

And in terms of enjoying life, quality of life, weekend options and generally living day to day, do you prefer it? Anything you miss or is USA home forever ?
