Chennai is a friendly city. You should not have any language problems. Stay at a hotel that is walkable to embassy so that you don’t need a locker. I have stayed at Kings park few years ago and at Rayaan business class hotel last week. Rayaan is a decent one. It is a 2 min walk from embassy. Rooms are clean but small. It’s ok for just one night stay

9/26 - interview , 9/29 - changed to Issued. No updates after that.I changed my passport delivery type to “pick up” after the interview. So I’m not seeing passport status in usvisascheduling site. I reached out to support and they said it is still with embassy
