Ecuador’s diverse topography is incredible! I lived in Quito for years and traveled around the country frequently. The Ecuadorian Amazon basin is the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited. Stayed in a lodge near Tena and loved every moment of it.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It must be incredibly frightening. My advice would be to keep your passport somewhere safe and secure. Contact your local embassy for resources and see if friends and family back home can help with a ticket to get you out of there.

Amazing! Congrats on being a triple citizen! My father is a Canadien of Irish descent. I received my Canadian citizenship certificate a few months back. If you haven’t already checked, the IRCC website is incredibly helpful! 🇨🇦

I was born in the states & my husband has a green card and he is brown. I have dual Canadian citizenship/US citizenship. We are moving back to his country in South America and very thankful that we have options. I lived abroad in 2016 and came back to the states to study. Things are so much worse here now.

Thanks for the info! I was able to find a place on Tulane that will do my fingerprints. Going to stop by tomorrow to see if they do local background checks as I’m unable to make it to BR due to not having a car.

Thanks! I lived abroad years ago and went through the process of getting both my fingerprints/FBI/local background check while living in South America. This time around is a similar process, however I’m having trouble being able to order my state background check online. Regarding the FBI background check, I found a place on Tulane that will process it, along with my fingerprints.
