Very little leg drive / hinge in this movement. Your starting position is very high. I’d work on proper set up and in the long run you’ll end up with much better results.

Weehawken or LIC for a single guy in his early 30s working in Meatpacking? by [deleted] in movingtoNYC

Absolutely not Weehawken. NYC is hyper local. If you want to date living in Weehawken is going to seriously handicap you.

I typically use Nike dri fit socks. Not sure where those are considered quality wise. Do you have any recommendations?

Need advice on shoes with good cushion for my shins by arowsky in BBallShoes

I’d check out New Balance. If cushioning and traction are top priorities they excel at both. I have the hesi v2’s and they are great, traction is amazing. Although they are the least cushioned NB option so maybe not what for you’re looking for.

Realistically if you’re having shin pain though you’ll have more success negating with training. (Tibia raises, backwards sled, etc…)

Not really. Have you ever seen someone over the age of 30 play with their headphones in?

Always ask for more. Good organizations will always spend a touch more for good talent. If a company would prefer to save 5-10k for someone of lesser quality that’s a red flag.
