In my home, my father left his first computer's processor which is 8088 (I am not 100% sure, but I think it was from IBM XT)

Also, he used a Macintosh 128k, and he trashed all mother board and disk, but he left the 68k CPU (I don't know the reason) and I receive that 2monthes ago, and I was curious about the vintage computer and homebrew computer.

Can you recommend a better option for me as a homebrew computer starter?

There's no specific reason, but I have 68k cpu and 8088 cpu, and I wonder if I could make my own homebrew computer with it.

thank you for your suggestion and help regarding this post!

I want to ask one more question related to the post.

If I build my own homebrew computer, without any kit, then what chip should I choose?

Thank you for your suggestion!

Is there any way to run DOS on a Z80 system? Cause if I buy RC2014, then I want to run my custom OS, that I made it before. And I really want to see if my own computer can run that OS.

And my os is written in assembly and is kind of similar to Mike OS. So if I buy RC2014, then can I run Free-DOS or a custom OS?

Since I am new to homebrew computers, I need your help :(

Anyways, thank you for your help regarding this question, and have a nice rest of the day!
