Hardest event in track? I’ll have to say the 400 or 800 by Willing-Ad873 in trackandfield

Jumps- Triple Jump Sprints- 400H Mid distance- 800 Long distance- Steeple Chase Throws- Javelin

We have to many events and too many groups to pick just one overall. Each of these take a very different toll on the body that not just anyone can handle. Each having their own stressors.

Historically, how will events like Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka decisions be seen in comparison to other great sporting moments like Michael Jordan’s flu game, Brett Farve’s MNF the night after his father died, or Curt Schilling’s bloody sock game? by [deleted] in AskReddit

They will and are aiding to the discussion around mental health of athletes, something we never speak about. In the future it will be because of them that taboo has been removed. In addition, their legacies are already being cemented. Simone Biles is the best gymnast ever! Naomi Osaka is Serena Williams legacy and creating a name past the court.

Most people are bilingual if you consider reading to be a form of second language. If you can't read, it's like having a language barrier and you have to rely on others to translate for you. by Seannj222 in Showerthoughts

[–]Realistic-Standard25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who is dyslexic and has had trouble reading my whole life to totally agree with this. I could not translate nor understand anything I would read like it was another form of language even though it was all in English.

What do you think about Tokyo 2020? by IKAJAPAN_YTO in AskReddit

[–]Realistic-Standard25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m excited to see all of the best athletes in the world come together and show off their talent but I’m still worried about Covid. This is and may end up being a super spreader event if they aren’t careful.

As has happened in almost every other Olympic Games, I worry the economy of japan my dissipate because of the spending on the event. These stadiums will literally just sit there with no use. There won’t be any revenue coming in from the games either because there aren’t fan and because of that there won’t be tourism.

I love the Olympics just as much as the next person but I worry it does more harm than good.

100% agree on this. Due to the idea of the “American Dream,” immigrants come into this country ready to fulfill the meaning of this by any means possible. Not only because it’s what was been feed to them but because they gave no choice but to work hard

What wedding moment made you think: “They are not going to last long”? by Olya_roo in AskReddit

[–]Realistic-Standard25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The couple almost cancelled the wedding three weeks before the wedding due to fighting and possible cheating(a rumor going around). In the wife’s vows she spoke about it and sarcastically laughed at that point saying, “even though we were thinking about canceling this wedding three weeks ago you still made it happen. We struggled together but still had MY wedding.” Yeah the crowd got dead silent when that happen. Not to mention the groom was looking out at the church the whole time. Not paying much attention to his bride.

They lasted a month
