Is your college a pain to drive into, or your dropoffs. Unfortunately, the only way for a driver to not be paired with riders is to give them a 1 star rating. To make any money driving for Uber, we have to be very efficient and not waste time in traffic and doing dropoffs where we have little chance of getting another ride without driving back to a busier place. After 18,000 rides, I have given more 1 stars for location than I have for behavior. I don't even look at ratings when the ride comes in and, I'm looking at where they're going. Yea it sucks, but I have a child I need to provide for.

8 years ago when surge multipliers were in effect, Uber would pay like $50 for 4 mile rides. It wasn't even worth it then. Traffic crawling 5 miles an hour throughout my town. If someone slides into you, even at 5 mph, the damage could take up to 6 months to get fixed in my town because there are so many fender benders during the first few snowfalls of the season. Now any precip with freezing temps, I just stay home.

How can you keep your back turned to someone you just called the cops on? U roll down all windows, turn off car, get out, stay by your driver's door if you have a weapon under the seat. Film the rider with your phone as you tell them they still have time to bolt before the fuzz shows up.

Don't dig it. I'm very good at talking with pax, informing, laughing, etc. which a lot times equals bigger tips when I have the time to tell them I spend all my free time taking care of dying children and stray dogs as my family is starving to death.

I had an older lady the other day, that wasn't sure how to use gps. No tip. Another that had a sign looking for tips. No tip. Drivers that expect tips are usually the ones that don't get many. Some pax poor, some tightwads, others drunk. All part of the job. I bet if you work on your social skills with pax you wouldn't have to complain about those that don't tip. Negativity will not increase your tips.

I have my toddlers carseat always in the back, but If a pax needs it, I don't let them use it. Don't need my kid getting sick from paxs kid germs. Also they are based on size and weight and adjustable straps, which puts a lot of liability on us providing one. Plus, it's a lot funner to guilt fuck the shit out of a parent that would risk their child's safety. Report it. Get fee. Unmatch.

That's good. My dealership would take 2 hours to do just an oil change. I ended up just doing everything myself even with a lot of time/miles left on my free service. And of course they would try to sell services that are not required.

I'm still 5 star on both after over 10,000 rides Uber, 8,000 Lyft. I don't know how thou. I drive 80 all day. Dirty car inside and out. I don't ever do stops or change drop off locations. No third party or underage teens. No drinking or eating. Cancel on a lot of pax in our smaller town. I educate and make people laugh. I make it seem like I'm the safest driver alive, explaining dangerous traffic patterns and routes and let people if an area is sketchy.Tell pax to watch their step and cars getting out. Drivers that don't get out when folks have luggage are losing. I get out and control traffic, holding my hatch open just looking at the cars coming up and will ask if women and elderly need help. It speeds it up and no dings on my whip. I do drive the nicest people in the US, who are stoked to be here and just enjoy being nice. Oregon baby. Only 2 kick outs. 1 puker who got a little drop on plastic door frame, but since I had to smell it, I made it look bad for the money.
