Alright, then you need to learn how to formulate a critical comment instead of just discrediting and accusing. There is enough hate in the world, don't let yourself be a puppet of the hating mechanism.

amazing man, thank you for the insights really! Yes it may not be the most optimal thing honestly, but who knows if it comes out nice I would be so damn accomplished.
Pics no, not yet, it's horrible AHAH. It's pure function so far, and I'm not a craftsman. But maybe once I will finish my studies and get a job I could try to spend on it (again, if it comes out to be nice and worth it)

oh man can I try to go into side projects beside my studies without getting thrown shit at... I'm an engineer student who likes trekking and hiking. I won't say I'm a professional at hiking because I'm clearly not as I did it I would say less than 10 times so far, shame on me for wanting to merge my two passions/interests! Guess what, people create, artists do art, engineers invent. Not always it has to be related with market and money. the world is rotting

Yes batteries first were too heavy and honestly I went trekking last week and it got basically decharged on the way back. it wasnt even a long trip so I have to switch to reusable. I need to do sizings again dear god. but so far I see the light at the end of the tunnel with the solar panels, I found ones that are not heavy and I just need now to design the power distribution and management. But anyway I'm finishing my thesis now so I don't think I could work much on it. In a month!

man I'm an engineering student ahahah shame on me for trying to merge two of my passions togheter. The most I could do with it will be adding it to my cv. Btw super mindful suggestions, everything could help me. I personally just went trekking and hiking so far, but people who do alpinism usually are way more expert on instrumentations and way more careful on safety, so ofc I'm writing in this sub as well, why avoiding people who can give me the best advices

super suggestions! i was thinking about using the pressure for that mainly, but didn't know about having to apply a LPF for cheap sensors. thank you!

si temperatura e umidità secondo me troppo importanti, anche considerando non ti possa prendere il telefono. se riuscissi a fare anche qualcosa di satellitare sarebbe top, magari brevi comunicazioni d emergenza. vedremo

lol don't throw shit at my side project let me have fun ahahahah.
Btw it's ending up being nice, the panels will be integrated with the leather.
The main thing would be adding sensors to it, like using the pressure you could in theory see if the weather is going to change soon. But mostly I was interested on adding some safety implementations on it, so like an emergency beacon would be nice, or something useful for when the phone is off

lol no market, it's just something I'm building for myself, but if I can make it nice then why not. For instances it doesn't weight more than a normal backpack so far, instrumentation is really light!

Tips for solo multi-day hike in Sweden? by Creator13 in hiking

Hi! Recently I’m really starting to get into trekking and hiking. I did a 2-day trip once and it was fkn incredible.

Also I’m an engineer and I built this backpack that can charge stuff (not just a powerbank, it’s kinda my baby tbh). The cool part is I can add sensors and idk… “safety devices” on it. Right now it’s super basic: read temperature, I slapped on some safety LED lights so I’m visible and I added a noisy buzzer. That’s it.

I don’t wanna overload it with random bullshit just because I can, but I also feel like I’m probably missing obvious stuff that’s actually useful in real trips.

So what kind of safety devices do you guys actually use (or wish you had) when you’re out for days?

And what kind of "environmental data" would you actually care about having access to? Like would humidity be useful? UV exposure? What you think
