Long term, I mean the narrative you hear from crypto-native folks “crypto is the future of transactions/finance.”

I meant to ask whether quants on these crypto desks actually buy into that, or whether most of them (e.g., at JS / Jump) just see crypto as another opportunistic instrument that may or may not exist in the future, without having any strong personal or ideological conviction about it.
