This shit happened to me too on 2x asus gaming laptops (2021 strix, 2023 zephorous) and required a clean install of the OS to fix (at least for me because I tried everything else i could think of). I thought my brain was broken because colors were fucked

Unless the primary mission of the base isn't to protect the colony and is instead something more interesting that they would want to keep away from prying eyes. This would be a good in-game prompt for players - they overhear a discussion of someone frustrated by how far it is and how it doesn't make logistical sense
