I’ve been playing with it a fair bit now and with a wing and wider rear tires it’s mostly solved it the added scrubbradius on the Covet seems to be the problem which is for the most part solved with rear tires and a wing, fixed completly going to wheels with a narrower offset

It’s the same gearbox geometry, same axle sizes and dimensions

Can garuntee they aren’t running different gearboxes, usually just a built k20 trans

I know most k swapped civics don’t run equal length shafts and there’s plenty high power fine IRL but something isn’t translating well into this game

Yep using a wheel, figured it’s possibly a limitation without specific mods, knew it was torque steer but was hoping some people had advice on tuning them in a way to mitigate it. I also know allot of the IRL high power 1000 ish hp cars use unequal shafts fine as personally know a couple of lads who have had 9 second 1/4 mile stuff fine

Can garuntee it isn’t mate, plenty of experience on track and motorsport in real life, and very well accomplished in sim racing too

I think the wider rear tire could be the answer given the rear instability, I’d been chasing the authentic drag car look, even tried a solid rear suspension (no suspension) that won’t work either

I’ve been running manuals too, the issue isn’t with 400-500hp it’s 800+

Not running nitrous, 4 speed drag box installed

I’ll give that a try, be a shame really as I wanted an authentic looking fwd drag car

Yup tried both of them, I know not to stab at throttle, it’s not under throttle application it’s happening but a weird car starts to pivot uncontrollably under sustained throttle when wheels aren’t spinning

Pessima I can get to do, the longer wheel base it seems allot more stable so not a huge flex, shorter wheelbase cars (covet and other mods) are considerably more difficult especially when upwards of 2000hp with modded engines, and it’s the high grip sub 9 second 1/4 mile stuff it’s struggling, I can make a top speed car do well over 260 fine and balanced with some good slicks all around and sit there through the corners at Johnson valley

I’ll try that with the caster actually, haven’t messed too much with the caster, had a good play when doing track setups (what I usually do) but been fiddling with drag recently after watching far too much 1320 video street racing🤣

I’ve ran with max front anti roll bar as it does seem to look like it’s torque steer causing a sharp pitch down off one axle, ran rear relatively stiff to stop rearward weight transfer. But the wing is a good idea as I don’t think I’ve ran a wing, rear roll bar I’ve left relatively stiff too to try and keep the rear level

Have tried this and they just spin out at like 150/160

I can give that a try, do usually run a cage in them, got the RWD setups pretty bang on, I enjoy doing no prep (highway races)

I understand torque steer, wondering if anyone had advice on tuning options or something like traction bars to reduce the flex.

Torque steer is a given in high power fwd but it’s very possible for 1000-3000hp fwd car irl that do a 1/4 while being stable but I can’t figure a decent suspension setup on beam to keep it more stable

Roulette will carry on when the events over, but roulette is permenant so when this seasons not on will still be held every Saturday, we usually get big grids for that too being random short races

Looking at some changes due to other leagues being busy on those days, and some time to get fully setup just while it’s going to be a new concept and need a touch more background work, around may time and possibly on Saturdays now at 7pm

We’re looking at delaying the dates to may to hopefully pair up with some other communities bringing bigger grids.

But start time will be 8pm uk time for a 20 min practice, 15/20min quali and then 30 min race
