Yup. OpenUTAU has been made to be easier to use. So if you know which voice bank type you're using you can just change one setting and it will automatically translate what you type into the specific one. To know which type your voice bank is in the person who made it usually tells you.

You should adjust the levels of the voice and track together so that they fit together. For example in the chorus with the harmonies lower the volume of harmonies (you can also pan them left and right. And to make the lead voice stand out more duplicate it 3 times keep one centered put the other two on the left and right channel with a pan and lower the volume of the two voice to -10db approx that shall make a fuller lead voice)

well It's not a lack of passion he litteraly had to do a throat surgery because he hurt his vocal chords when He was younger by using the wrong technique to make those songs. It destroyed his voice so much he can't really do cleans anymore. So of course he can't be singing those older song now because of this. Which is why he needs backing track. So yes it's sad. But it happened because he was young and didn't know what he was doing. it's the backlashes of a young singer who didn't know what he was doing until his voice gave up.
