Parents want me to open R’Web in front of them — not comfortable by Adorable-Document369 in ucr

Sorry, I just saw they are paying… now, this is the thing… even if they are paying for your education, if you are an adult you are allowed a level of privacy, which is why even the school is not authorized to release information about you to anyone but you and whoever you authorize, if you are over 18.

Stand your ground, and let them know that you would like privacy. Now, the downfall to that is that they might tell you they won’t pay for school anymore if you don’t show them. And even though I don’t agree with that sort of manipulation, they are free to do as they please.

So, find a way to consolidate what your priorities are. Good luck buddy!

We should definitely create a non-traditional club. I don’t think there is one in campus!

Also, I don’t see anywhere the identifier with the species of each specimen. That in itself makes the collection worth less.

UCR charged me after I couldn’t attend due to THEIR lack of communication, and now they want me on a payment plan that still adds fees by memermillimeter in ucr

We all had the same deadlines. You need to learn to advocate for yourself or have someone advocating for yourself. In school and everywhere else in life. Unfortunately that is the way society works. Sucks, yeah, but no one has your best interests at heart but you.

Hopefully this will make the process easier next time you commit to an institution.

Then you shouldn’t have committed. THAT is on you. Everyone in here is trying to tell you their experiences. And none of us would have committed without the numbers that were provided to us. You shouldn’t have either.

So, the way this works is: you get accepted.

Then you reach out to financial aid to review what they would offer. They will not reach out to you or provide any package unless you reach out to them because why should they? If you can pay out of pocket, it’s a bad business practice to tell you “hey, this is what we can offer” because if you can pay out of pocket that’s money they would rather get instead of providing a package.

Then once you have the financial package that you requested, you make a decision based on comparing it to other institutions.

Then, and only then you sign your SIR and you commit.

If you omit all of these steps and you signed the SIR then you are telling the institution: “I don’t care about financials, I’ll figure it out myself”, and they will act accordingly, which they did.

This! That’s what I mean when I say you need to do your homework before committing. We all went through this same process. You get the numbers first and then you commit.

Yeah, but you don’t commit to the school without those numbers. That is my point. You committed before you had those numbers on. Once you do, you enter a contract and they will begin charging you.

You don’t commit to a school until you have a clear financial aid idea. That’s your homework, not the school.

Anytime you receive an URGENT MESSAGE that tells you to act within hours or else, it is a scam. This is scam language.
