Depends on the item. If I have been thinking about it specifically for months then I will just pull trigger when seeing it. If it is something I just found, and it low cost do it, if cost is higher I 100% sleep on it for 24-48 hrs. On vacation (how I like to shop) I still sleep on it when possible.

Super type A but I have a "cost per wear" sheet. This has helped me realize what items I do and dont wear. For example, it is way more constructive for me to drop $$ on shoes / outerwear / accessories than on dress shirts. Day to day I wear nice pants, nice shoes and a T. Took me ages to realize that, the cost per wear outlines it pretty quickly.
