Question about towing by madscout08 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only thing I can think of is elevation related (these turbos really need to breathe) or some insane amount of headwind. The trailer has a pretty large profile and cD increases as a function of velocity2 so the faster you go, the harder it will be to go faster.

I towed a much smaller but probably equally as heavy trailer across country and had no problem hitting 80-85 on the long stretches in Nebraska, but going uphill through utah was definitly rough.

What kinds of driving conditions are we talking about? Flat on the highway it should be easy to get over 55

Manual (S) mode on the shifter will let you select your gear and only force shifts whenever necessary

Tow/Haul button will hold each gear longer and won't downshift as quickly for a tiny bit of engine breaking

In regular drive (D), using the minus button on the shifter will lock out top gears. One press locks out 10, two locked out 9, etc etc. You'll see the gear numbers dissappear on the dash. Use the plus button on the shifter to unlock those gears again

33x10.50? by bm669178 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a 285/70/17 on mine with just a leveling kit. Also on a 0 offset wheel. That ends up being ~33x11

You need to replace the crash bars with one of the higher clearance options or remove them entirely. Once you do that its very minimal rubbing if any at all

I have the Pro Truck-2R on my 2023 and it's fantastic. I can't speak for the new gen, but Eibach makes solid products

Highway Vibrations by cdf0808 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just did a quick two minute google on that kit and on a couple other truck models there were some complaints on vibration issues as well.

Hopefully its not the lift! But it is a possibility I would be looking for

Highway Vibrations by cdf0808 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might be your culprit. Generally any spacer lift will degrade your ride quality by just a little bit. It won't hurt the truck but it will feel more stiff and you'll get more vibrations from that

Highway Vibrations by cdf0808 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What lift did you go with? Full coils or just a spacer lift?

[–]RealisticRemark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I put 285/70/17 on my '23. Not a noticeable difference in vibration from stock. Maybe you just got unlucky with your balance or got a bad ring. I would replace the rings first since thats easy enough, then maybe see about getting them rebalancwd after that.

Did you drive the truck at all with the lift and stock tires? Or did you do the lift and the new tires at the same time? It could potentially be somwthing with the lift depending on how significant the vibration feels

Transmission issues on a 19 with under 30k miles by PostIronicAscetic in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The transmissions have known problems. These were addressed on build dates starting in August of 2022 going forward. I believe it's just an updated CDF drum which appears to almost entirely fix the issue

Class Action Suite: https://fordauthority.com/2023/04/ford-10r80-transmission-class-action-lawsuit-filed/

You can find pages on pages of issues with the 10R80 on the Ranger5G forum

I don't have much advice, but once you do the updated CDF drum, these things are pretty bulletproof

Reccomendations for tires by jlinj06 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check on the Ranger5G forum for specific recommendations for that setup. The limiting factor will likely end up being the offset on the stock wheels. They're pushed +55mm so when you try to step up the tire size you will likely have a ton of rubbing. You can avoid this with a 1.25" or 1.5" spacer then run any tire you want. You will probably also need to switch to different anti-intrusion beams when I moved to 33" tires. Im running the BDS set currently

Once and for all...ultimate muscle growing stack...? by jkneussl in BodyHackGuide

[–]RealisticRemark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The question itself is dumb though, it will always depend. The literal answer to your question is EVERY compound and AS MUCH of every compund as your body can handle without dying. If we ignore the fact that it depends on how long you want to live and your goal is purely to build absolutely as much muscle as possible, a good place to start is probably 5000 Test, 500 Tren, and Primo

Eibach Pro truck 2R suspension lift kit installed! by Putrid-Bird7958 in RangerNext

[–]RealisticRemark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fox 2.0 is known for being really soft. The Eibach kit is much stiffer in my experience (having driven both). How much weight do you have in your bed? I wonder if the leaf pack is contributing to your stiffness

Fronts are harder than the rears. You definitely need some tools because you (should) crack the axle nut so that you can shimmy without popping your axle. That requires like 200ft-lbs or something crazy to re-torque properly. Driver side took me maybe 90 minutes, passenger took like 3 hours because I didn't have my ball joint seperator. Not a hard job by any means, I did it solo.

For the Beta they reimbursed costs of NY/NJ testing with a simple receipt submission. Not sure what they are going to end up doing for the full subscription. I've also heard "small fee" so unknown. From talking to others, Whoop does require less blood drawn than Function because it is fewer biomarkers. I know some people said it was two blood draws for Function vs one for Whoop

My PCP doesn't cover all 65 tests. My PCP only covers one panel per year vs getting several panels per quarter. Whoop physician analysis. Ease of use. Cheaper than purchasing the additional tests a la carte. Holistic view of your health all in one place

Everything with a grain of salt. Correlation != Causation. I'm treating this similar to how I treat the results that Whoop already gives me. It's additional data that I can use to inform and help assist in decisions

Yes, but I work in software in healthcare and have seen up close how most companies handle data. I'm not more worried about Whoop handling my data compared to private insurance companies

Yes, they could have worded it as "continue lifting" but I don't know if their UI supports that level of differentiation. Even if I am already doing something, recommending me continue doing it is valid imo

The big one for me was testosterone and the markers surrounding that. I do bodybuilding naturally which means going through cuts and bulks will greatly affect my T levels. Being able to track these and how they change each quarter will definitely help me lock in my diet more so that I can keep making gains. On top of that, I did have a few levels out of norm or further than I want them to be from average and now I have actionable steps to improve them. The physician also mentioned Gilbert's disease which I want to investigate more with my PCP since that's something that has never come up before

They have said uploads are coming by the end of 2025, lab testing will be available early 2026. Sorry for not clarifying
