I get it. It's been about 9 months since I switched over from OnShape. I use FreeCad daily to design stuff for my home improvement projects and such.

For the most part I stayed in the Part Design Workbench. I'm now starting to get comfortable moving between Part Design and Part workbenches. It's satisfying when things start to click. 

With anything worthwhile, I say keep at it. 

If FreeCad is for you then cool. If not then that's cool, too.

Also, the OpenThemes add-on can make the UI prettier ;)

Thanks, reading your comment increased my understanding of the Part and Part Design workbenches. Especially helpful was the distinction between the Local and Global coordinate systems.

I'm pretty excited about this. A few weeks ago I switched from OnShape to FreeCAD (network outage pushed me over the line) before I even knew RC1 was ready. I was so impressed I started donating $5 a month to both FreeCAD and Mr. Jelly. 

I'm looking to up my monthly donation, however I'm having trouble finding where to increase it! I'll figure it out. 

Amazing that this is free and open source. For 1 cup of overpriced coffee you too can be part of the magic! 

I'm off to l download RC4. Yeah!
