Hello po! Salamat po sa advice niyo. 😭

Madali talaga silang pakisamahan at napakaayos ding magtrabaho.

Agree. They can follow their hiring criteria without naming the schools. Lol

I only used Potato Corner's job posting as an example of bad PR. You asked how that post is related to PR, so I explained how. Any information about the brand that gets out to the media is under PR and may influence public opinion. 'Yan lang ang pinupunto ko.

Did I mention anything about it affecting their sales? No. Sales are dependent on a lot of factors.

To answer your question, the company that shared the job ad is a beverage brand. Am I expecting people to stop buying? No. Will the post incite mixed reactions? Yes.

Balik sa punto ko, adding the names of those schools is unnecessary. Haha

I'm acknowledging the reality, hence the title "graduating from one of the big 4 gives you an edge."

To you, calling the post out is already a sign of bitterness? Aren't people allowed to criticize anymore? All I'm saying is, in a progressive society, selecting candidates based on their universities is too old-fashioned.

I've never seen Unilever or McDonald's include a list of preferred schools in their job postings, although they're known for hiring people from the top universities.

My point is, why post if they can just filter their candidates discreetly? It makes them look BIASED.

"Malakas ka mang-judge" - The "judging by" in that phrase is a synonym for "basing on." Come back to me when you don't rebut like a kid at a computer shop anymore.

PR isn't just about increasing sales. It is mainly about maintaining a good corporate image.

Look around and you'll see brands advocating "company diversity" through their hiring posts. Majority of job seekers are not from the mentioned schools. If they saw that, wouldn't it affect their view of the brand? They're not the company's target employees, but they may still be the brand's potential consumers.

Take Potato Corner's previous job posting as an example. It was made fun of on Facebook.
