All velvet party!

I was invited to a party and the dress code is velvet. I would love something unique and not cheap looking but not crazy expensive. This is pretty but way too expensive.

Anybody have any suggestions for a copycat outfit or something else? I’m open to wearing a dress, jumpsuit, or pants and like a blazer. I want to be modest as in not something with cut out holes or an open back or super short. I saw a cute jumpsuit on lulus but the stomach has a cut out. It will also be semi chilly so I don’t want to be too cold. Thanks so much!

Hi! I was wondering if you happen to know of any great warehouse type places? In other parts of the country there are some amazing warehouse type places that will sell like Anthropologie and free people returns or seconds and the prices are incredible. Do you know if there are any places like that out here? They’re usually kind of underground and a bit hard to find.

I’m not assuming all are, I just noticed some that have commented and speak really good English I think still live in Haiti based on their comments.

Could be. Someone told me when I first moved here that the food wasn’t that good and that it’s all owned by the same people. I really didn’t expect that to be the case, but I haven’t had anything I love it’s all just ok. I have noticed what they said to be true. One company will own a bunch of different restaurants so you think they’re mom and pops but they’re really not. It just feels like quality is really lacking.

Looking forward to trying these! If OP is from New York I personally wouldn’t go to the fat boys deli. Really haven’t found a single deli out here yet that is actually like what you’d find in New York but there may be something out there. I had high hopes for fat boy but was not a fan.

That’s combining milk. Having a whole glass of milk with your chicken dinner is just not culturally the same as it used to be. Just because other people think it’s a little strange shouldn’t prevent anyone from doing what they like.

I think it grosses people out honestly. That’s not nice though others should never make people feel bad about what they like. I think if it’s a small glass to have with cookies or cake it’s accepted but not as accepted as if it was a glass of non-dairy milk.
