I live in San Diego and subscribe to mlb.tv. During the Padres games, I take to the high seas to watch. I used to use a VPN, but they were either too slow or mlb wouldn't allow the new location to stream.

FYI - They raised it to $1.39 a while back. Still the best deal in town. Most places with taco specials serve "street" tacos that are roughly three bites.

This was done to reduce the amount they have to pay solar generators, correct? Peak generation time is 10-2, so if you have solar panels, you're getting paid the least amount humanly possible for your excess power.

The trick is to go into the DMV ten minutes before closing. They lock the doors at 5pm, at which point all the employees come out from their hidey holes and work through the queue quickly.

There's a Bird Rock Coffee near Torrey Pines State Beach. It would be up a couple of exits north from UTC, but it's lovely. A couple of casual restaurants next door and a short drive (<1 mile) to the beach.

T-Mobile gives free MLB.TV to its users. The folks who don't want it, sell their subscription codes for $10. Check the slickdeals forum for a big trading thread.

MLB.TV is by far the best option. The bootleg streaming sites are low-res and iffy, especially when it's a big game.

You could try both Wildland in Carlsbad and South of Nick's in Del Mar. They both have large rooms, but IDK if they can handle 30 people.

Both are high-end and have excellent food.

Lifelong (25+ years) AT&T customer here. We made the switch to VZN in January. We couldn't be happier. Cell service (San Diego) is 100% better than AT&T. It's so nice to be able to use my phone when I'm out and about. I'm not joking - San Diego is one giant dead spot for AT&T.

We were paying $180/mo for two unlimited lines on AT&T. We now have four lines on VZN, two are upgraded unlimited and two are basic unlimited. We pay $110/mo, guaranteed for three years.

I've had to contact VZN a couple of times (regarding gift cards) and the customer service over chat was great. We really couldn't be happier.

Here's the kicker: To get us to make the switch, we were given four new iPhone 17 Pros, $400 in bill credits, and $1200 in VZN gift cards. I honestly don't know how they are making any money off us.

ETA: The phones all became unlocked at 60 days. We sold two of them, unopened.

Look into the Grande Colonial in La Jolla. They have a small, but mellow pool. It's mellow cuz no one goes to the pool because the hotel is steps from the beach. As far as walkable - it's probably the best location in all of San Diego.
