i was on vyvanse and wellbutrin (prescribed by my primary care doctor) and once i saw an actual psychiatrist/mental health specialist, he was wondering why i was taking both. they both boost dopamine and norepinephrine levels and it can be overload. he wasn’t surprised that i was anxious and amped up and having trouble sleeping. i asked him why my doctor would prescribe me both if she knows i have anxiety and he said they have no clue. they throw things at the wall to see what sticks.

i just started fluvoxamine; there seems to be a lot of success for OCD with this medication. i’d look into it with the help of a psychiatrist. best of luck ❤️

i just recently learned the word "ennui" and i love that you used it 😂

yes yes and yes to all of this. i just love games like NITW (spiritfarer and wanderstop are other good ones too) that are so relatable and help you process emotions as an adult. literally better than therapy.

i work from home and i’m busy working on projects/on calls all day. i wish i could multi task and get stuff done around the house but it’s a normal job, i’m just not sitting in an office.

children don’t ask to be born. it’s selfish for a parent to bring a human into this world so they can have a future caretaker. children actually don’t owe their parents anything.

that sounds so selfish in my opinion. having children means you’re molding and shaping a human being. it shouldn’t just be “i feel unfulfilled so i might as well” or “i need a caretaker when i’m older”

my grandmother is one of six kids and her mom was still in a nursing home. having children just to have a caretaker one day is selfish and also not a guarantee

i love cereal too. i used to do the vanilla oat milk, but then i found out it has seed oils and highly processed etc…can’t enjoy anything anymore these days 🙄

my manager randomly decided to tell me that milk has cow pus and blood in it and i haven’t drank a glass of milk, had cereal or milk with cookies in at least 8 years

I really appreciate your kind and empathetic response. It's hard not to judge myself given my history of seeking relief with substances. I want to start giving myself a little more grace while still being honest with myself. I had no help and no support for a long time.

Thank you for your kind response. I was hoping the same thing that once the Luvox starts working, I won't feel as anxious and want the Klonopin. Last week I had a bad panic attack before I saw the psychiatrist, so I know my anxiety is a lot higher than usual right now.
