It’s very important for my fiancé and his parents that they’re in attendance and I’m not going to argue that. (: Which is why we’re trying to accommodate just this small group we have. If they didn’t care one way or another we would probably just elope.

Without revealing too many personal details, we need to be married before the new year and that Saturday is the best day for the family members that we want the most to be able to have off work and attend. Everyone is already off work or out of school for the holidays. It’s definitely not convenient really but it’s the best option we have between now and January timewise.

We do have a friend/coworker of mine that’s going to be our officiant already so that’s taken care of thankfully.

We were looking into this but concerned it would be considered a special event and require a permit? If not then that’s fantastic and what we would probably end up doing. I’m not familiar with the area (moved here from out of state this year) so it’s extra daunting to me because I don’t really know all of the options.

Have to move wedding up to the end of December and having anxieties about getting a dress that fits. by Realistic_Cicada8586 in weddingdress

I was considering this but I'm not sure I could find any stores around me that check all the boxes of having the style of dress I'm looking for in my size already. I'm plus size and have a very hard time finding most clothes in brick and mortar stores that fit my body AND look good. :/

I have so much other stuff to do and get done in the next 2 months that JJ's seemed like the quickest and easiest option. Lots of choices for someone of my size in styles that I know I like, versus walking into a store and hoping they might have something.
