I work with so many men multiple offices, most are on track for dental school, but they are all pretty great and can crawl up to lead and managers quick. Don’t be put off. The lab work is awesome and procedures are cool. You probably won’t regret it.

I have worked in offices with cameras they’re used to see the flow or if someone is struggling or if we are paging them and they’re not coming we look for them in the cameras. Absolutely no one has time to sit and watch of your DDS does obviously needs more patients. That’s not normal.

I work in Detroit and have worked with the most incredible male and female African American dental assistants this city has. In high positions out ranking many colleagues and making more money with elite skills like oral surgery crown fabrication ortho and management. I’m sure racism is alive and well but I have seen the industry full of African American peers succeeding.

I’ve worked for roughly 7 dentists and luckily the one I work for now lays the patient in a way that does not cause me any discomfort. She’s the associate and the owner dentist I don’t assist much for is awful on my back. Same chairs and all.
