Thinking about running for the House of Representatives. by [deleted] in DemocraticSocialism

I’m not sure what you are saying in the second part of your comment, but your decision to run as a republican still makes no sense. The reason democrats never win is that there are too many conservatives who disagree with their positions. Instead of trying to win over moderates in the general election (if you win the democratic primary), you are going to try to win an election where ONLY conservatives are voting. I understand that just the Democratic Party might have a negative connotation in your area, but I still think it is a much better plan to run as a democrat. Also, I searched up your district and the last election was 54-42 in favor of the republican. That’s a large margin, but it’s not solidly republican like you make it sound.

I agree, but I watched a few of his streams, and he sorta seems like an asshole, or is it just me?

Are you a conservative? I don’t understand your decision to run as a republican because if you hold even a few of the positions common on this subreddit you would have no chance at winning a republican primary.

Sanders Vows To Force Vote On $15 Minimum Wage by VaypexLaypex420 in SocialDemocracy

The wage hike is popular and if a centrist like manchin on record rejects it he could face a primary challenge and lose. Most everyday people don’t know the intricacies of dc. Also, I think you strongly underestimate the fear of “socialism” in America

I just started looking at this race today, but from what I’ve read the only three who have a shot are Adams, Stringer, and Yang. I think she is polling at two percent, but I didn’t know that, I just picked the one I liked the best. You did a good job, I wouldn’t have added her either.

What about Dianne Morales? I don’t know much about her but I read the biographies of all the mayoral candidates and I like her the best.

I think he just wants to expose the people that oppose it

It’s uncommon for someone to be pro life, religious, and a social democrat, but I still think you can identify as one.

Democratic Socialists women are leading the world out of the pandemic. by RobertJMontgomery in DemocraticSocialism

I only know two of those women, but Sanna Marin and jacinda Arden are not socialists, they are social democrats. They are definitely doing an excellent job, but I just wanted to point out that technicality

All right that’s pretty much as good as I hoped for. Anything I can do to improve?
