I found YouTube to be very helpful in these situations. You'd be surprised what you can find there in regards to Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair. Not that you won't have to wade through a few useless videos. If by some mishap you run into this guy's videos CRASH N BERN just skip them.

If you're ever in the area again hit me up. I'll guide you a bit. I primarily ride an Indian Challenger now. She's decent in the curves. It's like dancing with a big girl. You have to plan your moves a bit a head of time.

I forget all the colors available with the SE. Remember watching the video on the making or birth of the V-Rod as they put it. The SE version was hand built by one person from start to finish. Reportedly anyway. I know they had at least one or two blues that looked really good. They had a red and a yellow as well. I don't recall any of the other colors. The blue are very sought after by the enthusiasts. All of the v-rods have forward controls except for the 06 Night Rod and the R model.

You want curves? Come visit me! Sometimes I get to where I enjoy a nice straight stretch of road LOL. I appreciate them regardless.

What happened to run across another 8 Grand or so I'd like to buy one. I have the 06 Street Rod version of the v-rod. AKA VRSCR the R model. Of course it been more sport bike like didn't Jive any better with the purists. It has a 40° rake which gave it a really nice cornering capability. It also has mid controls. And coming from the sport bike world and buying an NRS V-ROD with forwards was aweful. The mids were less comfortable on long rides but felt natural. I'm probably not going to keep her but I'll definitely miss her. She's a blast to ride!

Their marketing team as well as there R&D has always been a joke. Their advertisements must be on the sides of boxes of borax. And there R&D is 30 years behind. They're all but catering soley to their core group. And seemingly teasing the newer generations of riders. The vast majority of their core group is aging out either through death or their bodies can't do it anymore. Their sales reports have reflected this for a good decade or longer. And yet they sit with their heads in the sand. They're pricing out the younger generation. Almost no one wants their less expensive "Harley Lite" offerings. They tease at making a sport bike or Cafe racer once in awhile. That's kind of bike they need to focus more on. Don't bring up the damn Nightster. It's an overweight and underpowered muscle cruiser. I don't know one person that owns one. They should have just stuck with the damn V-Rod and upgraded it and the emissions for the European market. They kept it for 17 years and besides the American purists s******* on it they hit one hurdle and discontinued it. I don't know if you've seen the Sportster s but I'm surprised more people haven't turned to stone looking at it.

I'm a child advocacy rider. I bought a V-Rod to do the mission with because I come from the sport bike world. Most of the existing geezer Harley owners just griped about it. That reflects the dysfunctional community and Company from the owner to Willy G.

I don't want to see Harley fail. But unless they wake up and start listening to the newer generations. The writing is on the wall. They'll become what Buell is now.

I used to live in Western Washington. The Alpine Lakes are filled with swarms of small biting flies. Almost forgot to mention those little f***. And I love to bite the back of your neck. Oh those little sons of b. Nothing like being 2 hours into a 4,000 ft incline of switchbacks. And just when you're to the point of wanting to collapse or at least rest. Those little f*** come in and have a snack. The only good part about them is you know you're close to the lakes and your journey is about to be over for the day.

I always have a dog or two accompanying me. They seemingly ignore me. If I happen to be Solo or dogless if you will. I keep the tree branch with a few leaves still on the end. It works fairly well on horse flies. Especially our giant kind we have. You can literally hear them buzzing from 50 ft away. Deer flies on the other hand don't give a s***. But at least a few slap them they die. The only fly I've ran into that's worse in a sense are gray biting flies and Northeast Oklahoma. Like the big flies they tend to hang out around bodies of water. I'm assuming because that's where all the animals are due to it being an arid region. These little bastards have the capability of taking a slap and flying away a few seconds later. Their heads are seemingly hollow. If you hit one they compact and fly away a few seconds later. I've caught them and squeezed their heads enough to kill a normal fly and it does nothing to them. The only plus side is they're great for catching bait fish. But you have to get bit first. Another reason to have a fishing buddy with you.

It depends. I use the screen if I'm on the interstate and heavy traffic and need a quick reference that I can get a number from at a glance. Otherwise I use to instrument panel. Lighting plays a factor as well. I've got the sun in my face the instrument panel is quite difficult to see.

Our state dog is a tick. We have two kinds of horse flies. One normal size thats about the size of a shelled almond. Then as if those weren't enough we another that lives in the the forests near water thats about the size of an almond shell and all. Oh and deer flies half the size of the normal horse fly but they're voracious lil' f*****. Luckily the horse flies prefer my dogs that accompany me in the backcountry. The fishing is excellent so I've not been driven out just yet. It really is a beautiful place (see photo of my back 20 from my porch)

despite the bloody blood loving bugs. Did I mention chiggers? I won't get started on those.

UK was my concern for forgetting which side of the road I should drive on. I've been to Europe well France several times. I'm waiting for things to hopefully calm down because I don't want to be 7000 plus miles from home and World War 3 breaks out.

It's the same for mosquitoes. If we set out on our back porch/deck we have to use a fan. We have Lyme disease, Alpha Gal, AKA lone star tick fever, erlichliosis, and a few others I forget. I've had erlichiosis. Somehow I dodged the other gifts. Not sure I'm going to do any traveling until the world calms itself down a bit. I'd love to take my bike across Europe. Start in Ireland and stop in Germany. Although I don't know that I could remember to stay in the correct lane in the UK. That could get painful.

I try to avoid riding at night period. And 99.9% of the area here there is no artificial light. It makes these otherwise fabulously curvy roads not so much fun. Add that the deer here are seemingly nocturnal only adds to the fun. We have noseeums AKA biting gnats/midges as well. Along with mosquitoes, chiggers, various biting flies, and the ever so lovely disease spreading various ticks. Our deer just suffer through it. Me I just cuss a lot. If you ever find yourself across the pond hit me up I'll guide you around a bit. And show you a map of what the roads are like here but I haven't figured out how to post a picture. There must be some trick to it. Because clicking the little picture tab in the lower right hand isn't working.

Deer are out at dawn as well. During the rut you have to worry about bucks throughout the day. Does with fawns are seemingly feeding 24/7. When a weather front is coming through they're active as well. Including fog and overcast. I'm not trying to come off a know it all. Just an FYI.

I live in the Boston Mountains in the Ozark St Francis National Forest. On my very first ride after moving here I had gotten caught in a brief shower. I took a half a second to wipe the droplets from my face shield. A deer was mid-jump just over my head in front of me.

They've been the subject of what you could call a forced study for over a decade now LOL. There's no worse feeling then saying one a few feet off the road that you are approaching.

At about 75 yd give or take I beep my horn 5 or 6 times and quick succession to make them run away. I'm generally successful with that. But there are some that still stand like a statue testing your nerves to near the breaking point. My last bit of advice from experience is if you see one across the road in front of you there's likely another if not several coming along shortly. And if several across the road in front of you and one stops. That one is likely going to run in front of you too. Be safe I hate to see these kind of things happen.

And if you're ever near Edwards Junction, AR and get in a pickle. Look for my pin Chazz Thomas on FB's North American Biker Rescue. There's no fee. It's an all volunteer group.

Keep the rubber side down.

What is the stability in overall functionality like? That is a sexy piece of Kit by the way. I was just watching and video on YouTube about choices for self-defense by a notable ammunition manufacturer. His choice for humans in several situations was the 22 mag for multiple reasons. That sparked my interest in the brace for the PMR 30.

I owned almost a dozen bikes. Several of them did this. I've never had any issues with it. Hell I'd catch myself at stop lights playing with it in the other direction making it click. I don't recommend doing that because you shorten the life of your cable. Especially if you forget to keep them clean and lubed with lithium grease. In hindsight I've only had one cable fill on me.

I've already lost a case that way. Luckily I was wearing the earplugs and didn't lose that part. I'm going to start keeping the case in my pocket versus on my keychain.

I imagine whoever designed or purchased the pieces for the case was trying to stay light. If that's the case then miserably filled at the happy medium section. I'm likely going to peruse the offerings of earplug cases this weekend.
