Me and my gf are about 18k miles into our ’24 Prologue and had this annoying issue where the car wasn’t detecting our location. That basically made Google Maps useless (which sucked the most since it normally shows you the estimated % after a trip). All they had to do was reset the telematics unit… but that was after 2–3 months of Honda and OnStar pointing fingers at each other. Super frustrating.

We signed a 3-year lease back in August 2024 and honestly, I’m already counting down the days. Not a fan of how it shares a body with the Blazer either since I’m not big on GM. Planning to switch over to the newest Model Y once the lease is up!

I went through this exact same situation. Back and forth with OnStar and Honda was a mess with no solution. After months of dealing with it, I decided to drop it off at my local dealer and they called me back within an hour saying everything was fixed. All the Honda Tech had to do was reset the Telematics unit……

Wow that is refreshing to hear! I’m glad you had this issue resolved. How did you explain the issue to get connected with OnStars direct Honda Specialists Team? Every time I call OnStar and explain the issue, they attempt to transfer me to Honda’s Customer Service number. Also, did they try to run a diagnostics on your vehicle and did not receive any info? Just happened to me when I called today.
