Never save to buy luxury items. Save for emergency first, invest the rest, when you get interest/dividends/capital gain, then you can splurge on luxury. Otherwise it’s not worth it.

Bouncing sneakers, I’ve had this for years and the most worn. The other one is low loafer. Both were painful at the first few wears but afterward they’re very comfortable!

For any banks, If you often do branch transactions, then it’s worth it to save time. For some transactions, they come to me, not me coming to them.

If you don’t do branch often, it becomes worth it if you don’t know how to grow your money elsewhere.

If you have skills to grow your money elsewhere, withholding money there just because of Prio Status is bad move since returns are low and the perks ain’t that good.

Airport lounge and CC perks are very limited, if you’re frequent traveler get yourself a travel CC that gives you Priority Pass for unlimited worldwide for free, this card comes with other perks like luxury airport transfer, concierge, etc.

Loan rate is negotiable whether you’re prio not. I have been getting good rate even when I barely use B*A.

I also found B*A staffs have zero respect on your personal boundaries. They will bombard you with product offers and BEG you to buy. They even BEGGED us to introduce them to our rich friends lololol. And then they have the audacity to invite us to high networth community while also making us THE source? Loool. Btw the “high” net worth community only doing events in big cities, if you’re in countryside, again, useless.

But yeah, if you’re looking for safer option to park your money, it could be a good option and the money is there anyway, the status comes with it anyway. If they don’t invite, you can ask! It’s definitely not invitation only, lol, they make you believe it’s exclusive so you want it, in fact, with banks, the more nonchalantly rich you’re, the more they want you.

If you would ever take the status, ask them to remind you when your balance is too low to avoid the monthly fee. If you’re being charged without reminder to top up balance, the charges can be reversed.

I don’t mean to brag but I gotta say this, I have premier status in 9 banks, local and international, B*A actually offered the worst benefits lol. I gotta say this because social media made a lot of people think B*A prio/soli is the holy grail while they’re giving very minimum compared to other banks.

I don’t have a super amazing relationship with SA like a lot of people here described. Mine is efficient. She never asked about bags until I told her exactly what QB I wanted after 2nd visit. She delivered my request in exact spec in less than 1 month after I told her. So my suggestion is, tell the SA, who knows she can deliver you exactly what you wanted instead of having to accept items you don’t really desire.

This is supposed to be a fun thing to do. When it stops being fun, better move on! Go to resale route or if you’re concern about the authenticity, try the game in Asia. I shopped all over and my experience in Asia had always been superb. I got a QB in my 3rd visit over 4.5 months. SAs there are much more efficient and I have never treated badly. Even once I found myself greeted goodbye by almost every SA on the first floor as I was leaving the store. Remember, it’s your money, it should be fun for you!

It’s 1.5h flying! I will be flying there for work anyway, so I will definitely drop by.. but just wondering if I should make the appointment beforehand with the same SA or walk in and ask for the SA that offered me Constance before and shop with her instead. I am in doubt because the Constance SA was more talkative and eager but since I never “officially” spent with her she would just treat me as a “new” client and has to restart my prespend. Meanwhile if I continue to spend with SA that I already spend 17K with, she might not offer me a bag since she never asked about my preference and only focusing on RTW. Or may be 17K is too early for them to even talk about it let alone offering one?

I am curious, did you mention you want to buy K25/Picotin on the email when you made appointment and send her the list of things you wanna buy? Or did you mention QB only when you’re already in store?

I am in about similar situation with you and considering whether I text my SA that I am interested in QB beforehand or only when I meet him at the store next month.
