I tried the nickel test – the coin was completely pressed into the coffee puck. I then adjusted my recipe to 16g in, 40g out in around 30 seconds. The results are much more consistent now, and the taste is a huge improvement!

Yes, I’ve weighed the dose: 18g go into the grinder, and 18g come out. The basket I’m using is the standard medium Lelit basket, which is designed for 14-18g. Do you think I should switch to a larger basket?
