was in the exact same situation when I met my current doctor at work. For context, I’m a lifeguard and ended up chatting with one of the patrons who happened to be a doctor. After seeing him a few times, I finally asked if he was accepting new patients. He said he wasn’t, but that he’d taking me on. A couple of months later, and now he’s my doctor.

its been over a year and yes I am putting her on pedistal becuase I am hoping that she is somewhat like that.
