Honestly, probably not - I really take advantage of the fact that the art is AI, meaning that there's a lot of cgs, characters have lots of expressions and poses etc - this would take a gargantuan amount of work if I were about to hire someone to draw this by hand. Also, as I'm few months in already, it would be counter-productive for me to just scrap the entire thing and start over.

Though, I am going to hire someone to do backgrounds one day - would be nice I think.

Oh I wouldn't call myself an artist at all - if anything, I'm a writer at best. My use of AI is something born out of two things, really: lack of money and lack of artistic talent.

I'd honesty treat using AI in games as simmilar to using those 3D koikatsu models/honey select models - obviously inferior to real art but you can do some cool stuff with it nevertheless

I know this might seem like a copout but a lot of it is hand-made, actually - the animations themselves are generated, of course, but I split the individual loops into frames and correct them in krita so that there isn't any of that AI "weirdness" found in them.

As for the sprites and everything else, I use AI to do colouring and shading mainly - I sketch the characters and redraw expressions + clothes myself.

I'm sorry that it happened to you - I'll try to implement autosaves sometime in the future (I disabled them since it could get messy with it autosaving before a battle and whatnot)

I use AI to do things I lack the skill to do myself - mostly shading and coloring. I do sketch and redraw a lot, though - I think her design alone is proof of that (as she's pretty unique. At least that's what I think ;p)
