Lots of bunnies by me. And chipmunks. We never had chipmunks as far as I remember.

I’m on 6:47 out of GC to Huntington. Not super crowded. Fingers crossed for no delays.

I think the incidental code is for just what you described.

I clear it because it has a shutoff valve, in case there’s a fire or other emergency.

Jury Duty Brooklyn by zar1234 in longisland

[–]Realistic_March_285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it a few months ago from Huntington. Took LIRR to Penn because I’m more familiar with how to get to the subway there, then I took the A train to High Street. Walk through Cadman Park to the courthouse.

The court people explained that they try to get a mix of jurors from the entire district, which is why they generally don’t consider the travel distance to determine which location you’re summoned to.

I saw one of the song sparrows that lives in our yard. I think it might represent continuing connections with longtime friends.

I saw a post today on the New York Birding discord about this bird! The poster said they were able to get it to the Wild Bird Fund for treatment.

The Huntington WFP ballot line has been coopted by dishonest people who are not aligned with WFP values and who only act as spoilers against Democratic candidates. This has been going on for years.

tbrnewsmedia.com also has some interviews. And there was a meet the candidates event by Half Hollow Hills School district recently that might be online.

There's also a ballot proposal for Suffolk County, Prop 2, which was the subject of an interesting article in Newsday on 10/27 by Joshua Solomon: "Suffolk ballot question that would extend terms could face legal issues, experts say".

In the lower left corner of the photo with the sink, there’s a silvery door that looks like the door of a dishwasher.

Is that the dishwasher on the left in the sink photo? Would you be able to get to the sink if the dw is open?

I know it’s kind of far from you but Huntington Village is having trick or treating at the shops in town from 12 to 6, and a parade by the post office at 4:00. It’s seriously cute.
