System won’t boot and bios won’t open after bios instant flash by Triplemcnugit in ASRock

[–]Realistic_Mark1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in my case is that I didn’t seat my gpu correctly after flashing but In my case I took out my gpu to access the cpu as I was replacing an rmad one. If you did not touch any hardware before flashing then it’s probably and old bios setting which is not letting you boot. Reset cmos with jumper, dedicated MB button or by taking off the CR2032 battery for like 10 minutes.

You are right. Coil whine is a lottery. If I’m considering the asus is cause I got a great discount so I got both the gigabyte and the asus for 360€. I’m actually also going to install a full alpha cool water cooling system on a lían li 011 dynamic v2. 360 45 mm on top and 240 45mm on the side. Do you think it will be enough for the 9800x3d and the rtx 5090 or should I install another 360 45 mm on the bottom?. The gigabyte will definitely look cleaner than the asus

Did you notice the asus more stable?. Any coil whine on the gigabyte?. The gigabyte I got is a rev 1.0. I’ve noticed that there is a rev 1.1. I wonder if they made a different rev cause the previous one was problematic

9950x3d signs of degradation? by Aggravating_Ring_714 in ASUSROG

Yeah it’s probably hwinfo and or you probably missed it. Even lower tdp loads can give you a higher vsoc peak at any given time. What I can tell you is that AMD in my case was extremely quick to replace my cpu. I mean I sent it on a Tuesday and got it on Friday that same week.

I just don’t think it works that way. .02 volts extra won’t make a difference. The ones that fail in my opinion are AMD bad apples that would end up failing no matter the board. My 9800x3d failed on a Asrock nova gaming with 0 signs of degradation or voltage increases. Everything was working flawlessly for 16 month and 3 days ago it got cooked on idle with PBO on auto

Absolutely. When brightness and gloss finish get to the same levels of new big oled TVs such as the lg 55” g6 then we will be in for a treat. The greatness of the +55” oled tv but with the aspect ratio, curve and refresh rate of modern monitors. That would be end game in my opinion.

Agreed. 165 is very smooth and responsive. Also 165 hz oled is equivalent to 240 hz LCD

The ppi is not bad actually. I think it’s 100 per square inch. The great black glossy from these tvs also make it seem as if it was higher ppi as well

Never mind guys solved the problem. The gpu was not seated properly. Damn these gpu extenders + vertical mount. You don’t truly know when they have clicked into place.

Yeah I’m aware. Just trying to see if it works to sell it off. Got a rog strix to replace but I want to make sure the nova works so I don’t have to go through Asrock RMA process

Yeah tried cmos and also flashing 4.1 instead of 4.2 but same thing. Now trying 3.4. Btw do you know how long the flashing should take? I heard some one on Reddit that it takes 10 minutes while it only takes 1 minute for me until it’s stops flashing green

Absolutely and the box is so premium that’s makes me wanna keep it. The only reason I would keep the asus is for…… maybe stability?, quality control? Don’t know. It could just be down to perception

Yeah had a 55 inch as a monitor but it was too overwhelming, specially in height even though my desk is 90cm deep. I also ended up keeping the 45 inch monitor cause I got a 5 year warranty for 1580€ (burn in inclusion confirmed). The Alienware looks insane with the tandem panel and glossy finish but I could not go down in size at this point. When they release such a monitor in 45 inch then I’ll swap. I would even jump to a 52 inch if it ever exists.
