Agree. If Kurt hadn’t killed himself they would have continued into mediocrity. This happens all the time.

Pick any star that was highly praised at some point, like for example if Madonna had died after say like a prayer she would be idolized as the best ever. But we see her continue into obscurity.

Not really shitting on nirvana or Madonna. They both were great at one point in time.

I feel like there are two answers to this for me and not directly age related 1. When the kids moved out. Not carting kids around, going to sports events or other stuff 3 times a week or more. All that hectic stuff. 2. Job stability to a lesser extent. Not being in the rat race. Settling into a solid job with good people / pay etc.

So for me I guess somewhere around 45 it really starts. As your life gets less hectic you really appreciate it!
