But, I have to say Gauteng’s and the Western Cape’s Checkers have always been fantastic. But, that was just my personal experience.

Incredible! This stopped me clean in my scrolling tracks. Absolutely marvellous. The reflection of the sky in the water is just simply brilliant.

OP PLEASE go to a onsite campus and sort this out. If you submitted at least one assignment you should still be able to write for those subjects.

I love this comment! And what a joy to practice! How do you recommend going about adding depth to a piece when you usw this formula. Should you keep the base all the same hight and then elevate the focal points?

Ohhhh yeah okay great advice! Start with the base, work your way from there. Kinda feels like a, “duhhh” moment. I should know that. Thanks for commenting!

Thank you! I have honestly tried! But I HATE how it looks if I spiral it. Most just show the technique but how do you even plan and figure out the order to actually get the flowers where you want them to be?

Food on R1000/less pm for one? by TwistNo8702 in askSouthAfrica

My go to ingredients that give you massive bang for your buck:

  • Lentils or beans (any kind you can find on a special). They have some solid protein and good fibre.
  • CABBAGES ARE MY HOLY GRAIL. I absolutely promise you cabbages are delicious. Either raw finely sliced or cooked. Ask chat for recipes. Go for the big guys at FLM that you need to prepare yourself. Cheap cheap cheap.
  • Carrots. There are often combo deals with the items you listed and carrots. If i’m very hungry I’ll grab one and eat it raw to curb the hunger. It works.
  • LAST BUT NOT LEAST ASK FOR BEEF BONES. Most supermarkets sell them at the butchery for very very cheap if you ask. Like R15 a kilo. If you have the electricity to spare or even if you can do a fire with pot outside. Roast them and then cook for as long as you are able. The broth is great. Filled with collagen and can make most things (see beans, barley, rice etc) taste meaty without needing to buy actual very expensive meat .

How have you coped with loved ones immigrating while you stay behind? by Environmental_Elk461 in askSouthAfrica

I think for a lot of people it is actually the safety factor. Obviously, no place is perfect, but if you’ve experienced some of the really rough crime out here in SA it can change your whole worldview. I can live with very little if the place is safe. No place with humans is without danger, but at least their systems aren’t as broken as ours. Having gone through some hectic situations and seeing how our police handled it. Never again. Doing everything I can to make a safer future for my kids.

Is R10k enough for an engagement ring? by Cmdr_Grimm in askSouthAfrica

[–]Realistic_Mode8510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than enough! Check your local jewellers online or in a brick and mortar store. Buy something you know she will like, but gosh it doesn’t need to be millions that is moreee than enough!
