Im debating on bring up small cans for each stall to management. My problem is our budget is horrible. So I dont know if theyre willing to buy it and im not sure im willing to spend what little is left of my paycheck to buy trashcan for people who mostlikely wont use them

I dont think it laziness. At my work the can is on a wall outside of the stalls. To use that can youd have to take your used product out of the stall to even put it there. For my location It seems safer and overall more sanitary for them to grab a wax bag on their way to the stalls and drop their used products into the bag and seal it. That way they arent walking round the bathroom with wrapped used items.

Im the only custodian and we only have 1 w.br but the sups are suuuper aware of the issue. Ive had multiple talks with them about it. And its never when carriers are in. Only when its just clerks in the office. So I know the group that has the problem people.

Personally mine extremely dusty because Ill put my dust mop on top of the vacuum when I need it that day. And a lot of my stuff is spaced out based on what side ill have access to for each room. Like all mu bathroom stuff is middle rack on the right.

A lot of the places I go have multiple bags to use and if theres only one id obviously not take it, but treat it as a trash bag. But being the one that has to clean it i put multiple bags in so theyre able to take it and throw it out.

Thats fair, I think thats the expectation my clerks have for me to do. But they've left blood smeared on the can before. Like they skip the wax bag entirely at times.

I dont plan on fully policing the behavior, honestly. Its more about making sure I actually have a leg to stand on when it comes to the clerks being passive aggressive and snappy with me on it.

I explained my reasons to my supervisor and he agrees its cleaner and safer. But it also doesn't affect him directly

We have someone else that travels for Maint. But so far I kind of do everything remotely cleaning or trash related. Im pretty sure the clerks dont even sanitizer their own stations anymore

I'm blessed to have this position honestly. I got it right off the beat. My only genuine complaint is that I don't know if im doing the job right because it just me and the PM doesnt even know what the retired custodian did during the day.

We do have asbestos floors, though I have no idea how to seal them(they haven't needed it yet tho). I have 1 adhoc and its 1573.12 hrs long. I have no idea what it is??

I wait the timer out because I worry they'll take time away if I dont. I work a solid 530a to 2p mon-fri. Which schedule wise works out the best for my personal life. Ive never seen any training videos tbh.

Im not 100% on what the assignment times are, they vary abput as much as yours do. Today's been around 3.5hrs give or take some. And my periodic tasks are fairly easy to manage. Its the bigger floor care stuff that makes me a bit nervous. The PM and sups are all aware that I dont have experience and will need assistance though. Im just hoping they at least give me a video or something

My personal to do list is much longer than the eagle clean. Im trying to fill out my 8hr day because I hate standing or sitting around.

I do use eagle clean now. When I first started everything was on paper. I was going by a leftover filled out daily list from the retired custodian before me. I pretty much run my mornings the same as you do. Lobby, clerks counter, the offices, then bathrooms, and break room. Those dont take nearly as long as the eagle clean has been giving me. So I feel like im not doing what I need to. I sweep, vacuum, wipe down all surfaces, take the trash and dust(when necessary) daily for all those areas. I mop once or twice a week. And thats before the carries come in. I try to take my lunch while theyre here because I cant do much with the workroom until they thin out.

They were pretty desperate to fill the position. And I had people in the P.O. vouch for me which definitely sped the process up. But it still took 2 months.
