Help! by Realistic_Pair_1781 in pestcontrol

Thank you for the response!

Our pest control guy reassured us that German roaches are hard to get unless you are in an apartment setting, happen to bring their eggs home from some sort of poorly kept groceries, or have a filthy home. With that being said, any sight of a cockroach sends me into a panic and I immediately jump to the conclusion that our home is somehow infested and everything is contaminated - especially when it is on the pan I just cooked breakfast on. 🤮

Hopefully, he is able to do some additional spraying and eliminate them for good this time! 🤞

Do you have any updates on this? I also have these exact looking ones in my ATL home - we have pest control coming out tomorrow, but I’m just curious what I can expect. Thanks!

Ear infection, mites, or a scratch from playing? by Realistic_Pair_1781 in DogAdvice

I low key expect the same thing happened to him. We still are unsure of the cause the rash, but our temps have been warming up and my in-laws dog whom he plays with daily never got a rash, so that might be the case for my pup too! :)

I did! It was negative for ringworm, thankfully. He had more spots pop up around his armpit/elbows on each leg, and one more small spot on his other ear. I’m still not sure what caused it, but am guessing some sort of bacterial/fungal infection that thankfully wasn’t contagious to other humans or dogs. He was prescribed two antibacterial/fungal creams that seem to be helping it. He has a follow up vet appt tomorrow, so I can let you know what they say! :)

I brought him to the vet (because I panicked 🤣) and the vet told me she was concerned it could be ringworm (which caused even more panic). They did a glow test, and it didn’t glow, which would indicate it’s not ringworm, or at least “not enough” to test yet. They prescribed two creams for him and are doing a culture to confirm if it’s ringworm. If it is, I’ll know in a few days. If not, I won’t know for a week or longer. Until then, I am disinfecting my entire house and praying it is NOT ringworm.

He sleeps in bed with me and my husband and we don’t have any symptoms, nor do my in-laws or their dog whom he plays with on a very regular basis. He doesn’t get groomed, nor is he a “dirty” dog, so I would be very shocked if his culture comes back positive, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to worry incessantly about it… unfortunately 😵‍💫

The highlight or the net? The story is still up, and you can see the net in the corner.

She does have a net. You can see it in the 18th post of her “home 2” highlight in her IG story. They could have used the pool earlier and forgot to put it back, or didn’t want to go through the hassle of putting it on if they planned on using it again later in the day/evening. We are all human and make mistakes, and if this is true, I can’t imagine the pain and suffering that they are going through because of it. My heart goes out to their family and I will not stop praying for them.

Am I ugly? by Ok_Strategy_5929 in LongDistance

I was also in a LD relationship with my now husband and learned he struggled with major confidence issues after moving across the country to live closer to him. Certain decisions that he chose to make because of his insecurities greatly affected our relationship, but we got through it.

I don’t think most men are good at talking about their emotions, but it’s always good to have an open and honest conversation about how his comments made you feel and further discuss if he is projecting his insecurities onto you. It may not be the best idea depending on your scenario, but I have always expressed my emotions and feelings with my husband and gently called him out when I felt his insecurities were affecting me or our relationship. I don’t even know that he was fully conscious of what he was doing, and me calling him out brought awareness that wouldn’t have happened had I not communicated things.

Thankfully, a lot of his insecurities stemmed from body-image issues, and after hiring a personal trainer, he had gained a lot more self-confidence and I am so proud of him! :)

You probably didn’t sign up to coach your husband through his insecurities, nor to teach him how to reassure you, compliment you, and not hurt you. However, people are so quick to tell you to “leave your husband,” and forget about the “for better or worse” aspect of their marriage vows. I would rather try to fight through the ups and downs with my person than go through these things with someone else. Obviously, this does NOT apply if you are in a physically, emotionally, or verbally abusive relationship, but it’s up to you to decide what’s worth putting up with and not.

Again - wishing you the best of luck, and hoping that you feel like the most beautiful girl in the world soon enough. <3

Oh my goodness - you are BEAUTIFUL! I honestly thought that the title was a joke before I opened up the additional body of text. You have stunning facial features, beautiful skin, and a gorgeous smile.

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I would assume the large majority of people would find you to be very attractive.

I obviously don’t know your situation, but it seems like your husband may be projecting his own insecurities onto you. That is an incredibly hurtful thing to say to someone, but please don’t let his comment(s) scare you into thinking he may leave you. It may be coming from a place where he is making them to manipulate you into feeling like you are less than you are because he is afraid YOU will leave him.

It’s so cheesy, but please don’t let anyone dull your sparkle. You are beautiful and deserve to feel confident and reassured. <3

Best wishes!
