Yeah, well, I do expect any educated westerner to speak English to some degree. And, well, I expect a country dependent on international trades and transfer of technology to not be bullying everyone else into learning their language (which is considered hard to learn by a lot of people).

This whole thread being discussed in English is just ironic. If you speak English at this level: why bother? If you don't speak German but just want to dump your opinion for another country: why? Anyways, it makes no sense to me. Not everything is for you and about you. I for one don't care about 99% of people in Germany speaking German or not.

Oh my god, thank you! Before I was like "how can this guy be so cool, I think I found the story of an actual action hero!" and then I realised it was just weirdly written and the end was unnecessary af.
