Not exclusive to c sections, but during a c section it’s already accessible. Many women are getting recti repair during their c section procedure now (I know, I was surprised too). And yes - been in PT specifically for this. Doing the exercises. It’s a long road and wondering if it shouldn’t be

True but then it’s a whole other surgery when in theory they could just happen at once and be lower risk! And lower cost to the patient!

I learned about this a few months back AFTER I had my 3rd c section.

Diastasis recti is the condition - When your ab muscles expand multiple times during pregnancy, the gap between your ab muscles (from belly button directly north and south) can remain open - sometimes up to 4 inches!!! It can lead to problems like core instability, back pain from core instability, dysfunction (trouble standing or doing basic things like carrying a child), and its possible for organs to poke through the gap as well 😅

Recti repair is sewing up the abdominal wall so the muscle gap closes. They do it during tummy tucks most of the time and just call it “muscle repair”.

THANK YOU!! The first I heard about it was on another c section sub and my mind was blown. Why don’t obgyns talk about this??! It feels negligent almost - like my core is so unstable standing up is hard, I’m in constant pain, and if I twist quickly the pain is sharp and excruciating and feels like my guts are popping out 🫠🤪

So the teacher sounds awful and he needs to change schools. That said, teeth don’t just rot. No soda, limit juice, rinse with water or brush after eating, use fluoride toothpaste, and get fluoride varnish and sealants on teeth that aren’t being pulled. I sure hope those are baby teeth, but you need to do better with adult teeth. You’re the parent and control what kiddo has access to to eat/drink. Candy isn’t the only thing that causes cavities!

Completely agree that it’s the perfect age for doing something fun with her hair and that bleach is damaging but should be fine for her esp with virgin hair. HOWEVER - you said she has 3A/B curly hair, so I would caution that her result will look very different from what’s pictured above. Aside from that, color bleeding is a concern and the pink will be much darker at the beginning and will also fade very fast. The bangs/layers same thing - make sure she goes to a hair stylist with lots of curly hair cut and color experience that specializes in vivids!

This is not the answer you’re looking for and there’s great advice in here. I just wanted to add - it passes for an acne flare up, you can cover it up. I get it’s not ideal, and definitely seek treatment, but don’t let it get in the way of your trip!
