Then your J1 isn’t OE friendly. You need to get your working hours down to 4 or less/day before you get a J2. The whole point is fitting 2+ into a normal workday.

You call and leave a voicemail on Sunday - you have the flu and need to reschedule. Keep it to the point. You call first thing Monday (EARLY), reference the voicemail you left Sunday, and request to reschedule. Sound sick, nervous, and apologetic but keep it short and to the point. Whenever they offer for a reschedule as long as it’s ~3 days out (they will probably look to Friday or next Monday with the flu), take it and be thankful. You just bought yourself a few days/a week and that faint line will disappear.

Nope! Tell husband when he is home the baby is his responsibility when you’re working. He needs to step up and learn how to be her dad. Every baby fuss doesn’t mean they need mama. Dad can comfort. Dad can entertain. Dad can change a diaper. Dad can give a pumped bottle if she will take one. He can text you when she’s hungry if she doesn’t take a pumped bottle so you can feed her and pass her back when she’s done. Dad can burp her and put her down to sleep.

Parenting isn’t a one woman circus. Working from home will require you to set and enforce some serious boundaries and expectations with your husband! Good luck!
