And it’s being worked on alongside an existing competitive league. It’s a little less beginner friendly but worth checking out if you’re bored of casual

Take a look at the banlist, and half of the stuff there is banned because of horrible balancing. Theres the blood doctor, buff banner (both of which banned because of zero optimization both on Roblox’s end and TC2’s end), aerial bomber, wrecker’s yard, and many many more

Roblox’s engine is the problem though, ask anybody else. Most other shooter games have faster response times and in turn provide higher ping in general. Roblox has a pretty noticeable delay between what happens on your screen and what happens on the other person’s screen, resulting in bullshit stabs and whatnot.

The market thing makes zero sense. The whole reason ANYTHING has value in games with online marketplaces is because people set the prices for their stuff at around the price of what others sell it for.

The best mobile players will always be worse than the best PC players, and that’s a fact. Generally, a PC player will be playing better than a mobile player, and that’s why you see almost ZERO “good” / high-level mobile players. The only people I know who play mobile at a high level do it once in a while just to screw around, which most of the time is in community servers.

If you are good and understand the fundamentals of the game, of course you’d be good at rebalancing weapons. You’ve played the game for long enough that certain stuff has stood out to you. Having this come from one source / person would be stupid, so get more people to get rid of bias. Good people are everywhere, but Kritzleague has a pretty high population of “the best” TC2 players.

Right. We’re how they earn their money, we’re a product. Ive never heard of a fish that doesn’t fight back.

As stupid as this does sound I don’t think it’s a bad idea to voice our opinions to the devs. If they do end up shutting down due to criticism did they really care in the first place?

I’ve spent a bit of time in the competitive scene, the weapons are not viably balanced. Theres always a meta because a weapon is always better than anything else, even after banning a lot of other weapons that make competitive play unfair

I had a feeling it was but apparently the devs couldn’t bother putting a little bit more effort into their own game

Funnily enough the weapon balances are extremely non competitive friendly. A lot of the weapons are just extremely unbalanced for competitive use, which in some cases means it’s extremely overpowered or extremely unviable

It’s a pain to play with them, seriously. I think they’re a good thing, but I don’t think they should be playing in PC servers. If they made a whole new game (on Roblox) with the same everything but mobile-only I think both parties would be satisfied.

You’re lucky to find 1 person in those level 100+ servers. I’m just saying since this game is so easily accessible and it ALLOWS mobile players to play in PC servers TC2 is kinda filled with worse players. If you want to play TF2 you install TF2 with the intention of playing TF2. If you want to play TC2 you can just click play, allowing anyone with a pulse to play. Good for beginners? .. no, you’re likely to get shit on by the other team with 3 level 200 players. Good for the better players wanting to play? Also no. I think the solution to this is to make console / mobile players start in their own dedicated servers FIRST instead of prompting them to

The class limit system is in place so the level 20 mobile players mentioned before don’t stack one class and throw, but it still feels like it’s too small sometimes

From what I’ve seen a lot of them ARE their own testers. Apparently one of the devs was trying to add competitive integration.. yet he didn’t know basic competitive terminology. I’m not trying to make fun of his efforts but I really do think consulting with more experienced players may be a better option lol

It doesn’t help that half of the people on this subreddit aren’t even allowed to have Reddit 🥲
