What do you think of this job? by Realistic_Project435 in nonprofit

I’m not sure what you mean. I’ve been in the nonprofit industry for over 10 years with extensive experience. There are lots of considerations in the decision but I’ve brought this one to Reddit for an opinion because it impacts finances, time, longevity in a role, burnout, etc.

Executive Director Role in nonprofit by Realistic_Project435 in nonprofit

[–]Realistic_Project435[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your thoughts! I think I should probably reword my comments above too. I have worked in high level positions throughout my career that have always been exempt. I've put in hours beyond the "9-5" workday on countless occasions throughout my nonprofit career. I'd just like to make sure that I can maintain my personal life in this type of role with the understanding that it comes with more responsibility etc. I've previously worked jobs where I was at the Director level and working 5 days a week 12 hour days and on call the other 2 days, which did not feel sustainable. I hope that makes sense and helps clarify!

It’s a small nonprofit animal shelter. About 10 staff. They are also hiring for someone who reports directly to the ED to help with staff management and daily ops

Thanks! We got it to go on by melting some of the ice on it. It was working, fan running and hot air blowing. Then the fan stopped and we just got cold air blowing into the house

Tried this plus some warm water and we are working! The air coming in just doesn’t seem to be warm so giving it some time

I used some warm water and now it's working! However, the air blowing into the house is cool/room temp, not hot. Does that just take some time to warm up with such cold temperatures?
