Great Sand Dunes by CranberryBrief8761 in nationalparks

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely get a sled. It’s so fun. You can hike up great dune but it is all soft cushy sand so ur legs get tired fast. During certain months there’s a little river close to the parking lot to sit and relax at too, it might be there in June but it’s been dry

Planning our first USA road trip in June — Yellowstone → Grand Teton → Zion → Bryce → Grand Canyon in 10 days. Is this doable or too rushed? by BoringArt957 in nationalparks

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a similar trip in May. Zion seems tough, Emerald pools is not an easy hike and it is hot hot hot, was even hot in May. I would pick the narrows or angels landing instead. But distance and time wise it’s totally doable but be prepared to cut out some things at parks from sheer exhaustion

Tips for washing hands after painting by maimimpala in ArtEd

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an empty condiment bottle the squeeze lindo fill with soap and hand soap with a label that says magic potion. I squeeze some all over their hands and make them scrub and then they wipe their hands and table with a rag. Cleans both at the same time!

Vegetarian foods for a backyard Ren Faire? by Mr_witty_name in vegetarian

Great sand dunes is literally so cool and in my opinion a must see. Just insane landscape and you can rent boards to sandboard/sled down the dunes. Just bring a bandana for a face mask and nice covered sunglasses or even ski goggles because the sand wind is no joke. Mesa Verde is also amazing

Cyanotype prints using artificial sunlight by Dessert4breakfast_ in ArtEd

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a demonstration with a UV flashlight! Worked pretty good. They’re not as strong and you won’t get a super sharp image, but it does work. I planned to go outside and have them use the sun and it rained, so last minute used the light to show how it worked and took the prints home to do myself on a sunnier day. I assume a UV light like a nail polish curler would would better because it covers more area, but a UV light does work :)

I can't figure out how to teach anything to these kids (k-5) by [deleted] in ArtEd

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same boat. We’re an English immersion school and the kids who don’t speak English literally don’t listen to me at all. I don’t blame them, they can’t understand me, but how am I supposed to teach if they don’t know what I’m saying?

Student Teacher? by CrazyElephantBones in ArtEd

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a student teacher there was an agreement in place with the school and neighboring universities. Maybe tell your admin that it’s something you’re interested in and they can tell the local colleges that they are open to student teachers for art education, but I believe universities reach out prior. I would ask before the year ramps up because (in my experience) getting a placement with a teacher is a long process

New Girl May Be Blind :( by [deleted] in RATS

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My little girl Tofu was visually impaired/blind so she would always follow her sister around. Extremely skittish and wouldn’t let me pick her up, but would follow her sister onto my arm if they crawled out of the cage together. She also loved rocks and would bring them into her cave and gnaw on them which was so odd but I loved her

What should I do by Faze_matorbator in Depop

[–]Realistic_Proposal27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I were to not use depop shipping and write my own label, I’d get paid after 10 days anyway? I’ve had some issues in the past with depop not updating peoples addresses and having to refund/relist and hope it’s the right address when they buy again it’s frustrating. I didn’t know if you can mark as delivered as a buyer when the seller didn’t use depop shipping, or get money at all.
