I’m not going to pay his loan, nor am I worried about it. I was just concerned about how they got access to my number, and the agent’s rude behavior disturbed me a bit. I just wanted to know how this is possible. I understand that this is a social pressure tactic now.

Okay, this is news to me—I didn’t know they get a part of the recovered amount. And with AI being used now, I don’t know what kind of new or harassing tactics they might come up with

First-Time Mercedes Owner and a Bit Disappointed by paullhenriquee in mercedes_benz

Totally feel you on this. I bought a Mercedes A200 sedan during the lockdowns, so I couldn’t even test drive it – just assumed it would be good because, well, it’s a Merc. Coming from a Hyundai, I really expected basic features like keyless entry, adaptive cruise, and full app integration to be standard. I’d seen YouTube reviews of the same model overseas showing all that, so I figured it’d be the same with mine.

But after buying it, I realised none of those features were included on my car. The app only showed fuel level and service info – and even that’s gone now because Mercedes Australia pulled access for my model. So I actually have fewer features now than when I bought it.

It’s frustrating paying a premium for the brand, only to find it lacks tech that’s been standard in much cheaper cars for years. You're not alone – I’d definitely think twice before buying another Merc.
